It's an odd feeling to be watching a game, thinking all three results are as likely as each other.

Ah sod it! COME ON ENGLAND!!

I was rubbish. There. Said it.

Well done to the top scorers. Brilliant effort.

Mere, you're a ledge.

Tikay, I'm out in Vegas at the same time as the main event. You got a chess board out there?  thumbs up

Ooh, do come day hello please!

Doobsy just popped in, we had a lovely chat. I thought he was an Accountant, but he is actually an actuary.

Chess? A Dealer @ Golden Nugget was telling me he is ranked 2,1?? in the American Chess Rankings, which I gather is pretty neat. I'll organise a game with him for you. Wink

A rating over 2100 is a strong county player. 2200 is first Master level (Fide Master). International Masters tend to be 2400+ and Grandmasters 2500+. The top two levels aren't just rating-dependent. You have to get good tournament performances against masters. I'm a mere 1999. Strong enough to give your dealer friend a good game but he'd beat me more times than I would beat him.

Need to better than racing tips, mind!

Carr, above a lot of satirists, has been vocal in his sketches and jokes about MPs, the rich and News international. When the chance for a bit of revenge came, the press weren't going to miss their chance.

Cambridge poshboy is just as bad as those he satirised etc etc

Cameron - just like the other leaders of course - loves a good bandwagon. Once it made the front page of the red tops, our PM was sure to pipe up to express the vox populari. It's this week's pasty.

Just watched it again. She doesn't quicken at all. The stride stays short and she didn't have enough power to go out.

That said, all that matters is the W

We'll all be laughing on the other side of our face when it comes second

Take their money and make a big noise doing it? That's what we are supposed to do!
Brings a tear to my eye. So proud to be British!

Was Lord Flashheart from Black adder there too?!

Come on the Brits!

GL chaps.

I had a similar but less dramatic arrival at Vdara a few months back. My suite was smaller than a holiday inn express and I had a fine view of the back of the bellagio. After a 10 hour flight, 90 mins queue-crawling in customs and an absurd wait for a taxi, this was not what I wanted. Fortunately the polite lady on reception was able to offer me a better room and would only charge me another $70 a night.

I might give up pots easily but this one I was not going to allow! After expressing my dissatisfaction in my best "knackered brummie", we agreed that I could have a better room for the price I paid.

It just isn't what you need after a long flight, so completely sympathize.

Hopefully you chaps win enough to buy the villa for next time. Actually, correction: enough to buy the Venetian.

My nap of the day is in the next: Ed De Gas.

Admittedly, that isn't necessarily a good sign...

Just back Buick seems to be a much better plan!

Backed the winner at 19.5, so I'll accept not picking it in the sweepstake
