i was ok with a free bet the same as what i would have done, considering they had already refunded by the 10 bet for the void stake. no point carrying on moaning over £20.

We have credited the 2x £10 free bets gesture of goodwill to your account as a final resolution to your complaint. These free bets will expire fourteen (14) days from today's date, may not be partially redeemed and is non refundable.

This gesture of good will does not set any precedence for future issues. Thanks for choosing William Hill online.

ive emailed their second opinion email address to get a written explanation as the chat has disappeared.

I placed a horse racing bet.

Bet Placed:
    20 Sept 2021 15:35
Bet Settled:
    20 Sept 2021 16:11
Ref:
    *****************

The bet was settled void even though it ran. I wasnt sure of the reason why it was void so contacted your chat service who advised that it was placed too late. Now i fully understand how this can happen in a betting shop with human interaction, but as this was placed online Im lost for words. Any site would auto stop taking bets on the off ? Can you explain this, so that im giving you the opportunity before i complaint officially.

Thanks

I had a bet today on the 1535 at Warwick with bill hills.
I was on the winner. The bet took 20 minutes to be settled and then i noticed it was void with my money back.
I asked why and was told the bet was placed too late.
Ive never heard of this before when placing a bet online ? obviously in the betting shops i see it, but has anyone come across this before online ?

There is a lot pf gibberish written about this, but mass lateral flow testing has seemed a big waste of money since the schools went back.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/apr/15/rapid-covid-testing-in-england-may-be-scaled-back-over-false-positives

In March, around 80% of positives from lateral flow tests were correct.

As April started with around half the number of cases, then the real positives are going to be around two thirds of total positives from these tests by now.  Going in to May only half the results will be real positives.  When looking at asymptopics then even these numbers will be overestimates.

For kids in schools, if they have symptoms they should stay at home and get tested properly by PCR.  If they are a close contact of someone with a positive PCR test, they should stay home.  If they don't have symptoms they should just go to school and not waste any resources and tim eon testing.

Not only are these lateral flow tests a colossal waste of money, but then if people saw the real numbers (and many people don't know the difference in tests), confidence in all Covid tests is reduced.  In addition, I have seen multiple people suggest getting some of these lateral flow tests and testing themselves so they can carry on with their normal lives when they have symptoms.

In other news, Tim Spector has cases down to not much more than 1,000 in the UK.

There are several different  akes of lateral flow tests. The ones used by the government at the moment are chinese, sold to us by the Americans and are approx 80% accurate. There are test made by British and European companies Mologic and Avacta that are approx 95% accurate. However at present the government have decided to use extremely small numbers of these tests for  research purposes. When you have smaller numbers to find the better tests would be of more use but im not sure why they arent used. It may be cost reasons, im not sure.

bristol city scraped a win against Wycombe. two more injuries today, and our injury table would field a quality 11 on its won. We keep getting the odd win but more luck than anything. certainly in the next 2 or 3 games id be opposing us until we get a few more players back.

Ooh, didn't realise you were a Bristol City fan, how do you thiink Nahki Wells is doing?  From the outside, he doesn't seem to be doing as well as I expected, but I don't follow your games that much.

Bradford City seem big prices again for Tuesday, plenty of 6/4 upwards available.

Altior started something like 2.1/2.12 in hus first run of the season, seems a bit of a stretch to say it was a shock he was beaten.  Epatante's loss was more of a shock, but even that much of a shock.

bristol city lost 2 1 last night and they were lucky to get the 1 thanks to an own goal...

To be fair I couldn't tell you if the are rubbish or not. We never gave either of them a chance and then moved them on.

Wells looks down and dejected. They keep playing him out of position. He should be around 6 to ten yards in front of the goal, but they push him wide left or right instead. We did this last year with Johnson in charge and it isnt as bad this season but its still not good. We need to stop playing players out of their position. We lack any creative talent. Paterson started the season well and then went off form, O'dowda is picking up at the moment.  We play a formation that should be very solid, yet we make basic errors at the back especially when Taylor Moore plays in a 3. It will be interesting to see what we do in Jan. We could get kasey Palmer back from Swansea or we could get a winger in on loan. Either way theres no point buying a quality striker and then not playing to his strengths.  We could push for top 6/7 if recruit in the right places. If we dont we will end around 10-12th.

i was on lost in translation ech way who went from travelling well to zero in strides. Bryony Frost regularly delivers good quality rides now. I was at Taunton ( i think) couple of years ago and watched Rachel Blackmore. She had 4 favs on the day and i opposed everything as she just seemed to get bullied constantly. However Brony is a different class and a good quality rider now and not just bigged up in the media.
