The Bristol post is possibly the worstt site in the world ever, pure click bate trash. It links us with a different player each day. You make 100s of suggestions and one will be correct eventually.

However we ( Bristol City) are definitely in the market for a new striker. I personally feel we are more likely to buy some old hack for a short term fix, pending some of the young kids coming though.

we have been linked with Clarke at Sheffield UTD.

We can afford Moore .

Interestingly betting emporium suggested the same bet as I did ten days ago on here. Bristol city to beat Bolton at Ashton gate to nil. However both times Bolton have scored the first goal but city went on to win 2-1. And they say lightning doesn't strike twice !!

Thanks for being so welcoming Marky.

I wish you were a bookie though, paying out on my losers.

However i'm sure you'll help support my next suggestion.

just checked oddschecker and a few places 11/8 looks lovely ., skiiiii, and  boils

Hi apez,

OK, nobody has suggested anything negative so let's go with this.

We have £20 @ 11/8, Bristol City to beat Bolton to nil, with Betfred.

BET PLACED

Weighed in, apez.

Nice one!

sorry this one didnt come in.Bolton to.k the lead and city came back to win 2-1. They never looked like scoring until lloyd kelly our left back tried to get fancy and shepherd the ball out of play rather than just lumping it in row z.Their player nipped round the back of him , pulled his pants down and laid the ball into the box for them to knock in. dreadful mistake. i said he was due to go to the prem but the only place he went after that was off the pitch when he was subbed 5 mins later. sorry Tikay , will keep looking for suggestions.

Thanks for the tennis bet. I didnt read it until the day after is was posted so a slightly reduced 4/1 was still lovely.

I'm a Bristol city fan and we have Bolton at home today.

We are on a great little run and even though we are short of a good quality striker, we have managed to get some form back by getting some big chunks of possession and not gifting to many opportunities to the opposition. we have had some decent results recently, beating an fa cup weak huddersfield at home and beating stoke away both without conceding . Generally though we have looked strong for the last 6 weeks. We have been strengthened by bailey wright , a solid defender and captain coming back from injury , so we now have 3 good quality solid center backs in the team. lloyd kelly ( likely to go to the prem soon) or desilva on loan from chelsea at left back.

From the other perspective Bolton have embargo/money issues and are coming to Ashton gate off the back of a 6-0 stuffing by Hull. There are some really poor teams at the bottom of the championship and Bolton definitively are one of them.

I certainly don't see us losing, but the odds are skinny. However i really fancy us to win to nil today. anything around 7/5 13/10 i would consider to be a bet.

I strongly fancy the Buffalo Sabres to extend their 9-game winning streak to ten in this evening's NHL fixture, 12 midnight pd.

Buffalo are at home, they have won 9-in-a-row, the opposition has won 4/11 on the road, Sabres goalie has a far superior shots-stopped %age.

One would expect them to be odds-on given all of that info, but they are in fact 5/4 on the moneyline(inc. overtime etc).

Recommend £20 on Buffalo Sabres@5/4 to beat San Jose.

Bored last night and reading the thread. I put some money on a 1-1 draw for Chesterfield as per chompys thoughts and then fired it on to the sabres during the night as per the above. Woke up this morning with a nice credit in the account. Thank you both for your advice.

I haven't got anything to offer in return at the moment I'm afraid. All I can say is as a season ticket holder for bristol city , I wouldn't touch us with a shitty stick at the moment , even against ipswich. In paper we look great... on grass were shocking

Possibly Fred's first NHL recommend?

The curious case of Chesterfield (continued): Now 18 League matches without a win, equalling the club record. Now drawn 8 consecutive League matches, equalling the club record. Unbeaten in last 11 matches in all comps, best run for 12 years.

Takes some topping.

That's amazing.

They are playing tonight, is anyone on the draw

Never commented on this thread as I generally keep political thoughts to myself. However I voted brexit and feel that we are all talking about some issues but completely ignoring others.

1. Happy to reduce the number of people coming to this country. But not if they are workers. By stopping Europeans who don't want to work... great. But I'm happy for anyone who wants to work to stay. By restricting european people it doesn't solve the issue. My friend who is English but of Pakistan culture just bought his new wife into the country. She speaks no English. She is not enrolling for English lessons and has no intention of ever working in a paid job. When will this conversation include non Europeans ?

2. I would like uk people to get more chances to got jobs. However we are at the point where if you want a job you can get one as unemployment falls. In order to get more uk people in jobs we need to reduce some benefits so that the have no choice. We keep hearing we will lose lots of farm workers yet we pay people to stay at home. This needs addressing. (I'm aware some people cannot work and need support and they are not the people I'm talking about here). Some people need forcing to take these jobs.

Thoughts ?

hes been injured. Due back soon. However i did see him come on as sub in one game. Basically he spent 20 minutes looking up at the sky as we lumped balls sixty foot over his head. When we get the ball down we're good, but as we get more desperate the higher the ball goes.

As a season ticket holder down at Ashton gate i was there to see us lose to Sheff Wed at the weekend. In my opinion, two very poor teams. Bristol City look devoid of all confidence in front of the goal. Sheff Wed just capitalised on our errors. It kills me to say this but Bristol City arent doing anything this season as i cant see what will inspire us to get in the right frame of mind.

however if i could suggest a bet. the thread is a fan of salford and today they are away to dover. usual clash of a top team versus a team near the bottom. the bet that i like is salford to win to nil. Salford have conceded one goal in their last 8 league games. where as dover who did score a few goals earlier in the season have dried up a bit with only 2 goals in the last five games . i think the two spades aavailable in most spots is a decent bet, ir the salford minus 1 goal handicap at 23/10 appeals. thoughts ?

for me the Dirty leeds v brentford game is a no bet. likely to be goals, but brentfords away form this season hasn't been good enough to put cash on it. This literally could be any result

im a golf follower, but not an expert. if i could chuck a name out for thoughts, so someone with better knowledge might offer an opinion.

Luke List

Done quite well on the US tour and definitely one to follow. i as surprised he did so well in the Scottish Open, but maybe this type of golf course suits him as well. At 100s if thinking of having a wager.
