3 bet to take initiative with a hand with plays well vs Ax, Kx, Small pocket pairs and so on. OTB i prefer to 3 bet then call if the table isnt too aggressive which it isnt Smiley

Person to my right is playing alot of pots, playing pretty weak post flop and often limp calling. I 3 bet as in position and pretty confident we can outplay him.

Previously he tried bluffing on the river with a 5 on a 5xx 2 overcards board i called, my image is pretty tight aggro, Playing position and pretty solid IMO

Trippy do you have any history? if none with Thew i would fold, but if you have had a couple of relevant hands it could be a shove Smiley

Surely if u got any abuse it would be on the similar level as when you present on SP?

Not meaning its right but it should be manageable and you will get other people at the other end of the spectrum saying gow awesome you are.

You should give it a go IMO, im sure you will be greatly received :-) as they say haters gonna hate..

Anyway belated happy birthday, hope to see u at the next SPT, also apologise if this is hard to read from my phone.

Regards
John

654  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: UKIPT Newcastle on: September 12, 2012, 07:34:40 PM
raise less pre if no dynamics 1.8 (bit pedantic)

I may jam here pretty good flop to do it and if they have overpair/set we have outs Tongue If you just came to play alot of pokers fold the flop

Shove>Fold>Call IMO obviously there is a case for all still
655  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: 50nl zoom thoughts on: September 12, 2012, 07:17:37 PM
Im probably checking, cant really see much value in betting here long term. You dont know whether he folds better and unlikely to call with worse, check and note.
656  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: $5.50 Bigger early stage JJ OTB interesting spot? on: September 10, 2012, 02:52:50 PM
Thx, i thought it should be a 3 bet but didnt Sad

Turn agree maybe a bet would be good, instincts was screaming he has 10, but was gonna call bet on river from him but didnt really see much value in betting as played
657  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / $5.50 Bigger early stage JJ OTB interesting spot? on: September 10, 2012, 02:39:01 PM
This could be a very standard hand so apologise in advance, not many reads and dont use HEM

First question should i be auto 3 betting here readless or is call ok? Usually i would lean to 3b 80% of time in this spot but as deep called..

Rest of hand pretty standard ya?

You sounds like you are trying to get people to fold in a £30 tourney, this will often not happen. go the other way and tighten up, i dont mind if its vs people who you know can fold but in a £30 tourney its hard to get people to fold even with a bit of logic. Also although its not about the cards sometimes when shoving good spots, i would lean towards having something worthwhile in low donkaments, generally i play quite a few from £20r, £35 mega stack, + quite a few higher

Play more solid and tighten up your range, dont try to outplay people who are playing for fun and dont have a fold button
659  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: GUKPT Main postflop plan on: August 27, 2012, 10:48:12 PM
Spewy 3 bet vs someone who is solid, id fold here. unless you think you have a good edge postflop dont really see the point 3 betting with a rubbish ace.

As played bet/fold 4.1k
660  Poker Forums / Poker Hand Analysis / Re: Is this terrible? (1) on: August 27, 2012, 10:41:27 PM
Too much for me buddy here, if you had like 10-15 bb and possibly altho i would probably choose a better range then k4, 9/10, KQ, A10 etc, possibly a bit wider but something which plays ok when called, k4 is pretty nasty if he hero calls kx here ur crushed, ax 35/65 not really something you want and i doubt they ever call qx
