The lighting of the flame may just be the best thing ever. At a time when, economically, the youth have been robbed of their futures by the old, it was symbolic to have the old Olympians pass their chance to lit the flame on to the young.

Sorry to be dim, but I don't understand the bold bit Andrew. Would you mind explaining?

The old bought their houses cheap, pocketed the huge rise in the value of their homes, and yet now the young are having to pay higher taxes to pay for the pensions of the old, when the young themselves will get a pension of zero.

Hmm. I don't see it quite like that. Most of the old people I know worked every hour God sent to provide a better life for the next generation.

If you want to describe working hard and investing your money wisely as robbing that's your choice.

This pretty much confirms everything i thought about you. You have no respect for the younger generation. Yes we may not dress up in a tie to visit the shops on a saturday anymore, but the majority of us have huge respect for those that fought in tge war; and the younger generation currently risking their lives in the war. Financially we don't have it as good as the older generation. We can't get mortgages because the banks are screwed, very few people under 30 have £30k knocking around in a time when jobs are difficult to come by. There are millions of graduates having to work in supermarkets because of disgraceful final salary civil service pensions that the older generation were given.

Brush the cobwebs off the cupboard you have been living in the last 25 years and show respect for the current young hardworking generation rather than chasing them down on your penny farthing so you can assault them.

Would also lower fees so they are fairly small, they can be increased once you establish yourself. If traffic is good then you could stodge it out a bit with some affiliate banners like BlondeP.

Might need to call it something else as theirs a youtube-esque video site called the poker bay. Don't think this will work unless it was tied on the back of an existing poker company loke bad beat/BRS/Blonde

'No disrespect but the majority of these guys are just social players'.

Says the cab driver.

Winner. Sort of.

Change "social players" to "recreational", "satellite qualifiers", "ultra soft", "awful", "French/German/whatever",  and you'll find precisely those sentiments echoed in at least half of the blonde staking threads!

Maybe I just look at things upside down, but we, as poker players, do tend to denigrate the opposition, & we so often describe them as bad. We are all good, they are all bad. Still hard to beat them though, we can't all be winners, can we?

Maybe it is just me who sees it that way, in which case, carry on, as you were. Wink

I was quoting what  Mr Bentley said in one of his interviews incase there as a mixup Smiley

To be fair, i was exactly like this guy after i won my first £5 freezeout. The realisation shortly after that you might have to return to your cab driver after your career at 20knl after you win $100k is pretty soul destroying!

I guess what I am interested in in this post is that when he raises me on the flop it seems like he can only have aq or , cant see him taking this line with much else, therefore I should fold the flop?

You can't fold the flop for obvious reasons, unless all your history with villain points to him having a set, even then its super marginal.

Oppo can maybe have AK if calling the turn.

One thing i might do different is 3b the flop bigger to around 9.
