The fiasco on deadline day suggests that our infrastructure (finance aside) is very weak and perhaps the owners need to have a clear out there first.

I rarely play online these days but logged in for a couple of MTT's last night on Party Poker and saw they were now allowing late entry for 15 levels.

Is this good for the game or just another online operator grabbing as much money as they can out of the poker community with minimal interest in the overall effect of the game in general? Surely the effects on ill judged guarantees are minimal and more players are dissuaded to play rather than enter that late. Without some sort of player survey I guess it would be hard to prove one way or the other, just my gut feeling.

Think Pickford may have a shot at Everton, really impressed with him, Kasper produced 59 passes in the game v Watford, Pep would love that but not sure if I would come to city.

If De Gea goes to Real (50/50 as I think Navas is superb) then Kasper is long odds on to go to Utd. I can't see him going to City but money talks of course. He will be sorely missed if he goes

Does potentially selling Mahrez this summer not suggest/imply that he really should've been moved on last summer? His stock was at its absolute peak this time last season, you'll still get good money for him obv but he's probably lost 1/3 of his value (maybe more) at a guess? His value could only really decrease these last 12 months.

Where does he go now? Spain? PSG? Can't see any other prem clubs making a move for him.

Appreciate losing Kante and Mahrez (and nearly Vardy too) in the same window just after winning the title would've been tough to take and maybe sending out a poor message.....but business is business.

I don't think selling him was ever an option at the end of last season. Had the owners done that knowing Kante was gone already I doubt very much the way the season was going everybody would have blamed the owners full stop. Of course nobody could know that his loss of form was going to be so dramatic. If he goes for £20mill instead of £30mill I think it would be a decent risk to take considering his purchase price. He definitely doesn't appear very happy, body language, reaction to being subbed etc so now is the time to get rid and give Gray his chance.

All reads well Tighty and concur with the Mahrez comments. He has been quite a weak link this season. It will be interesting if we let him go whether Slimani stays?

Benalouane has continued to impress as has Ndidi. Drinky seems a bit in and out at the mo imho. it will be interesting where the money will be spent. Kasper if reports are true will be a great loss.

One bad referreeing decision in the first leg and a momentary lapse of concentration  in the second and that proved the difference. AM are a superb and well disciplined outfit but on the night we did ourselves proud as "Champions of England"

tonight feels like a big old night

i read yesterday that in CL lifetime knockout phases teams that go into their home second leg 1-0 down qualify 36% of the time

obviously lack of an away goal is a big part of that low percentage, in a lot of cases its tie over if the team leading 1-0 scores away in the second leg

practically here,because Atleti are so good defensively, and so good on the counter with a match-winner (Griezmann) up top then 36% feels too high

maybe 20% i don't know

anyway, i doubt very much i will see us in this stage of the CL ever again, maybe not even the CL ever so tonight is a night for soaking up the atmosphere, for enjoying every minute and if the almost unthinkable was to happen, great.

It all looked pretty awesome last night mate. Almost all our players gave 100% and should be proud. Like you I fear not having an away goal may cost us in the end but to still be in with a shout is great.

I fear we will really miss Huth more than any other player though.

As for the "fans" unfortunately you can't stop tattooed fkwits showing their "patriotism" whenever an English team goes abroad and of course although the local police overreact, often on the wrong people or softer targets, it's pretty understandable.

Next week will be incredible win or lose - lets hope its the former!
