have to agree sadly.
but can see from DTD's point of view. As it stands, probably just even more overlay with a f/o structure

Alex, I think you should be aiming for a minimum of one video per cash session.
Often the highlight of the diary for me
Frowned upon at gala unfortunately, as they are hilarious how about at DTD/alea? also, while we are here, what are people sitting down with in that crazy .50/1 game from last night? Could be worth a wander down!?!

Sean, on the subject of the J4 hand I'm going to quote something that I know you have already read; one of the most important things ever written about poker. It is very easy to get carried away, but always keep this in mind:
There are two ways to pick fruit. One way is to climb a tree, get all scraped up, risk falling out, pick some fruit and climb down. Another way is to stand on the ground and pick the low-hanging fruit. The professional knows how to climb a tree. But he rarely has to. Tommy Angelo
Climbing trees can be fun of course. But don't forget you're there for the fruit, not the climbing.
absolutely love this post. So true

so what are the poker options/recommendations in and around Notts on these nights now that DTD has closed on these nights?
interested in both comps and cash. Found Alea website details, but wanted info from people who have played there, and Gala / any other options?
what's the standard like there, and how does it compare to DTD?
I understand we as a community are sponsored by DTD, but hoped it was ok to ask this here as DTD not an option Mondays or Tuesdays?

Surprised more people didn't applaud the brilliance of your speechifying.
I think it's the best I've heard about
lol. Well aware of how basic my "speech play" was. In hand 2, I think this works about 10% of the time. Hand 1, I got done (a little disappointed in myself here), and hand 3, let's be honest, the stacks are going in regardless. I am really interested in just general opinions of whether it should be used, and if how I (attempt to) use it is ool. At the end of the day, I finished £230 up so happy days, but am I ignoring the spirit of the game?

Ian, your original post makes for exceptional reading. So refreshing to hear such an honest open review of a night's action. And yet, totally not uncommon on blonde. One of the very best things about blonde imho. The way that people are prepared to expose themselves like this is very refreshing and certainly not something common to other forums.
I think it's great that you can analyse your own motivation so clearly and accurately. If the money is no object to you, how do you decide the right game to play? Is it a case of "play as high a game as DTD has available", or are you genuinely considering picking the 'correct' game on your next trip down? It would be great to see you on the 0.50/1 or 1/1 tables, just for the awesome banter which you clearly bring!
btw totally not saying you need to drop down to 0.50/1. Have seen some hard evidence from hh's of Alex/Sean that you more than hold your own at that level and, it seems, regularly own a few of the usual faces.
