Tonight is my 5th MTT session in the past week or so. I guess I've played about 100 tournaments over the 5 sessions. I reckon I've cashed in maybe 4 or 5 of those. And all of those cashes were mincashes. Certainly less than 500 euros combined cashes for 5 days and >50 hours worth of grinding. So huge losses obviously.

16th and 36th in the day twos, and 8th in something else zzzzz
Sounds like an upturn on recent form though? Right direction.

Quote from: dwayne110 on February 23, 2013, 11:34:09 PM makes sense honeybadger - how would your approach on the river change if you thought the villain was a weak player (i.e. and may not associate this line with strength)? I'd try to have a set instead of third pair Lol - I suppose that was my point, it's likely to get snapped off if the weak player is holding A-K/K-Q for example. Surely a raise to $350 is going to achieve the same result most of the time, saving us the $250 villain would have back if he shoves the rest as he'll presume we have no fold equity? Or do you consider this looks more 'bluffy' by not going full max value?

Hi Pleno, will the villain not consider the check-raise all in on the river more suspicious? i.e. if you had a monster, check-calling flop then check-calling or check-raising turn makes sense, but surely he'd expect you to lead out on the river to prevent him checking behind?

Good news JB is that the live cash game got a bit of a grilling for its nitty ness last night. Cash game supermo Tom (used to prefer the bird that organised them) has said they might do one for blonde regs.... I put Dreenie forward but thinking about it I think you would be an ideal candidate too. That's if the cameras don't put you off, being the shy insecure type

"It's straddled to 4 and there are 3 limpers I make it 32 with 45 suited and three callers "
Obv unlucky run out mate, but seems a little bit too loose of an open? Sounds like there's a lot of calling stations who are never folding and are mostly outflopping you here, gonna be -EV in the long run with similar plays. Playing ABC tight-aggressive, setmining/drawing for cheap - surely better if they're calling whatever you bet pre?

Good luck tomorrow Alex, fair play for being open about not running well too. I'm guessing tomorrow will be ridiculously aggro so I'm quite sure you'll get enough opportunites to turn it into a profitable month!
