I agree with Evilpie, the allin to me smacks of a semi-bluff with 1 pair+draw picked up on the turn. Seems just as many sem-bluff hands he'd make this move with as hands that have you beat, with roughly 2:1 for the call. You still also have £24k if you lose which looks about average going off the stacks, worth the risk to be chipped up early doors.

Clearly this whole post has been about OP realising his ambition of 300 min posts for staking, whilst cunningly selling his investment appeal. 'Sold out' to follow...

Hi Simon, in MTTs to what extent does the mix of players at the table affect your strategy? Are there certain types of players you'll deliberately avoid getting involved with, barring a premium holding or good price for your drawing/set mining type hands? How much importance do you place on the player(s) in the hand in relation to your position/starting hands?
Cheers!

Great mix of players/personalities imo, the first UK Cash Game series was clearly more appealing to the seasoned poker community...and it's interesting watching 3-4 extroverts battling to get a word in edgeways! I like Channing in particular, always seems to have a good attitude... can't remember seeing him even mildy tilted before?! The benefits of a productive poker career I suppose!

Sniper, nothing to be gained from getting wound up with situations like this. I'm pretty sure you'll win more than you lose in similar future spots, keep getting your money in ahead! Winning and losing with grace doesn't come naturally to everyone, particularly on a poker table. At the same time, if someone shows bad etiquette don't let yourself get dragged down to the same level

I'd call the turn always here - raising turns our disguised draw into a bluff, which seems unnecessary given the price we're being given to hit our hand and the potential big return on the river if we hit our hidden draw. By just calling she may interpret this as weakness which could pay off big on the river if she has top pair/2 pair type hands. Any raise on the turn also gives her the perfect stack to go all-in, leaving us in a horrible spot. If she does happen to have 2 pair/a set type hands that she's decided to play weird on the turn, most of our river outs willl not only be good but likely to get paid off with her stack.
