Interested in what the consensus actually is for Trump's role in all this? Sure, he's shaking hands with the guy, but from what I've seen he's also said some stupid things and the main steps have been taken during the meetings between the North and South, not between Kim and America. I imagine the Winter Olympics played a big part in this too, so I guess a general question (but more aimed at the Trump fans itt), what has Trump himself personally done here other than shake the guy's hand?

Would read this but the website seems determined to get me to sign up to things :p
33  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Ruling! on: May 20, 2018, 02:59:32 AM
Don't think it's fair to penalise player A, unless he is obviously complicit. It's not his fault that C decided to show him his cards, and I think if you kill his hand or void the entire pot then there's potential for a different sort of (admittedly complicated and situational) collusion, plus it's downright unfair especially if A has an obvious call as it is.

Penalties seem inefficient in a cash game, although this seems like a pretty good scenario to enforce one. Maybe just give him a round penalty and a firm talking to if he's relatively new, boot him from the game on the grounds of having had too much to drink and have a word with him next time he's there if he's drunk, or just bar him if he's a reg and there's malicious intent (like he's trying to encourage a call from A because he doesn't like B or something). Intrigued by what the actual ruling was here?

PUBG > Fortnite tho for sure.

That's just an opinion but it's mine too Smiley

fortnite own the engine that PUBG is built on. they went from being the lead support giver to PUBG development to releasing their own game that failed to compete with it and then they made it free to play to try anythign to fuck them and that made it take off in size

cheeky bastards. shame as the building aspect isn't a terrible idea it's just very kiddy 3rd person get shot build a wall rinse repeat. height should always win. prefer the more tactical options and shooting skill of pubg. obv have a bias tho Cheesy

Would quite probably prefer pubg if it was a bit less intense on my shit graphics card :p

Yh improving at shooting is a good starting point, because getting kills (especially out in the open) is so satisfying.

Would highly recommend changing your keybindings so building useful shapes (the vertical wall and the stairway shapes) quickly is easier.

Me and a friend last night, wanted to see how far we could get just hiding. When they got down to two the other guy panicked for some reason, stayed in his base too long and got killed by the storm.

Was a particularly fun moment with 5 left when 3 people ran right past my friend who was hiding in his bush, and one of them set up in a base really close by with a guided rocket launcher.

Got it, play it, suck at it. But the satisfaction of doing something useful keeps me coming back, plus I find it oddly relaxing. Much more so than Rocket League, the other game I play regularly.

C'mon man - don't be sucked in to this line of thinking. They are raising rake on tournies below $22. Not too many 'sharks' down there in the Big 11 and the Hot 7.50. Just a bunch of recs who probably won't even know that the rake has gone up because of the very nontransparent way Stars chooses to display it. Not one cent of that extra rake goes back into the poker economy. It goes into the pockets of Amaya shareholders.

I believe DNegs said that the increased rake will make those tourneys less attractive to regs and therefore much better value for recs.

He's probably correct though isn't he?

Looks like they'd be happy completely getting rid of the regs in favour of the recs who don't care if they win because it's just for fun.

Might mean more deposits and more churning of winnings back in to rake rather than sucking money out of the site to pay for rent, heat and food.

I'd much rather play in an easier game with 20% rake than feel like I was surrounded by sharks using me to pay their bills.

Agree with bergeroo wholeheartedly here, I'd also like to add that without regular players the games just won't be able to run the way they do now. Imagine if the only traffic going to stars was recreational players - guarantees would have to be tiny because you wouldn't be getting anything in the way of regular business, cash games would barely ever run, you'd be waiting ages for a sit n go to fill up...

All the hate the regs/pros get is nonsensical when you actually think about, partially because they will always be there. If every reg stopped playing tomorrow, then some of the recs would start winning more often, enjoy playing more than they do and become regs. They'd then feel more motivated to try and learn to keep this great feeling of being a winning player and before you know it you've got a new generation of pros, it's an inevitable part of the game.

I wish that operators in general would realise that blanket pissing of the regs is ultimately not good for anyone, much better to work on limiting how predatory the games can be instead.

I don't know how it happened but I'm becoming a fan of Trump. His oppos are so dead set on portraying him as an idiot when he clearly isn't. The harder they scream, shout and stamp their feet the more resolute his supporters become. It's fascinating to watch. The fella is clearly shit hot at business and he's running the country like a commercial enterprise, like a corner shop as dear Maggie Thatcher used to say...I want my money back! Fake news baby! They would've had some kinda chemistry I think.

There doesn't seem to be much to support the idea that he is 'shit hot' at business.

If you subscribe to Netflix check out Dirty Money episode 6 and it will show you his biggest skills are working the media and running a con.

Sounds like a world class politician...

But it's the exact opposite of what a politician should be.

Mind. Blown.

Sorry to derail the derail, but I've always tended to stay away from visiting any church or mosque because they make me feel quite awkward. I don't practice any religion (unless you count RNGesus, which maybe some of this forum would) and more so often find myself opposed to the decisions/views many of these organised religions take. I don't know specifically why I feel awkward in these places, but I guess I feel like I'm being disrespectful by intruding on something I know I'm closed to.

Definitely wouldn't start lying to them though, the truth here definitely seems more than good enough to get your ban lifted and if you happen to get caught in a lie your whole case is gone, immediately.

What's in my rucksack?

A gold Rolex.

Wait! Where is it?

Get the manager right now please mr gorilla.

This actually doesn't seem like an unreasonable line, them searching your bag without permission is 100% not ok and could land them in all sorts of shit if you're that way inclined.
