Ozil may be the best player to join the Premier League this year, but the fact remains the best players in the world play for Madrid, Barca, Bayern, PSG or Monaco.
There's a lot of very very good players at Citeh, Utd, Chelsea, Lolerpool, Spurs and Arsenal
But Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Cavani, Iniesta, Xavi, Ibrhimovich, Ribery etc etc etc don't
And when we finally produce a player to match these superstars. Bale, he goes off to join Madrid just as he's reaching the prime of his career.
Anyone suggest why this is?
I certainly can't see imagine an English club being the dominant force in Europe for the foreseeable future. (Chelsea fluked the CL, didn't they?)
Pretty sad really
The Russia factor? England is a less glamorous place to live so they pay higher wages to compensate for it.
Possible tax breaks?
It's a good point about the bleak future for English sides in the CL.
