I voted 'keep antes' but after reading Rob's post I totally understand where he is coming from and would like to vote for 'no antes'.

19  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: DTD Xmas £500 Deepstack: £100,000 GTD on: December 10, 2013, 07:22:40 PM
Lets say you win the £100 satellite and use £500 for the Christmas DS, what can you do with the other £500? Would DTD allow you to enter the GPS with it? Reason for asking as I'm told winning this give you tournament credit as oppose to tokens.

Hi,

They are valid as credit for 120 days to other £500 events. So we have the Xmas Deepstack and then all the UKPC sides and I believe we will announce other £500 events.

Glenn
Cheers Glenn. Better with having someone asking so we are all clear Smiley . Any plans for smaller satellites for the Christmas event or are you just running the £100 sats for 2x £500 credit up to this event?

21  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Rollcall for UKIPT Nottingham Six Max £500,000 GTD Nov 25th to Dec 2nd on: November 30, 2013, 06:09:26 PM
The lobby on DTD Poker Online is showing a Dusk Incredible 100 on for today - surely this is incorrect? And a £100 Six Max tomorrow.

These online satellites are a massive rip off when it comes to winning tokens - if I topped my account up with £110 and played the mega feeder I would get DTD points, but winning a £110 token through a £16.50 token means you get absolutely sod all.....

well you've won a £110 token for £16.50 and you can win £110 tokens in nightly freerolls too. This in particular is an alternative to points, because £3850 of seats are being given in these promotions weekly

I don't think language like "rip off" and "absolutely sod all" is very helpful.

Do you really think that will encourage me or DTD to respond helpfully?

Anyway, I will ask about the online lobby.

The Schedule today apart from the UKIPT Main is tewo UKIPT Side events, the £300 Notts Cup day 1 at 4pm and a £100 Win the Button at 8pm

It's nothing against DTD at all - when I was playing on the Genting skin last year, I sent iPoker a message regarding these tokens being 'valueless' as I was regularly playing the Steps SNGs. The amount of tokens I was shifting through wasn't being rewarded in points, I couldn't see why we had to keep paying registration fees for nothing in return through tokens. Surely you know what I mean. It's not DTDs fault it is the iPoker system that is at fault for this.

If anyone is interested, there is a £50 satellite at Sheffield tomorrow afternoon at 5pm, it is a rebuy for 2 hours. 40 min levels at the start for 3 levels then speeding up with 20 minute levels after that.

24  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: DTD Online Club Cash Games: New DTD Token Scheme (details page 33) on: October 26, 2013, 08:48:02 AM
I've opted into the token scheme, if I reached 'x' amount of points do I get a token automatically that is being promoted at the time or are you able to use these points to redeem whatever token you fancy? There should be a shop for this like on BlackBelt Poker - so you are free to do whatever you wish with your points.

Am I still earning points when paying registration in DTD satellites/tournaments?
25  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: The Big Game at DTD: £50,000 GTD Events from 6th November on: October 26, 2013, 07:45:44 AM
on line 8 handed ?

will there be sats to these

Yes satellites being announced asap. Get back to you on 8 handed

Re-entry on day 2 is for 3 levels only I think..and day 2 entries begin with 100k at 500-1000.

c25% expected to come back from the day ones, plus day 2 initial entries so should still be a way off the 24 paid (on the sample payout)

The chips average carried through from day 1 at 25% (which is about right for 12 level) is 80k. How is this fair in comparison to the day 2 buy ins? Wouldn't it be much fairer playing the field down to 20% to level that chips average out with the day 2 buy ins?

Anybody know of any news on this?
iPoker will be obsolete by the time the app is ready.....
27  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: staking....make up on: October 20, 2013, 04:45:53 PM
So the staked player is always gets the rough end of the stick... if he/she wins they give 50% which is fair in my opinion, but if they don't cash they give buy in back, anyway? Oh well done for the bink vin

If they don't cash the staker gets nothing back, surely?

This is correct.  It's the name of the gambling game to be fair.  However, if you was to lend someone money to play poker with - you should give back the total amount they have given you regardless of how much you may win.
28  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Electronic Cigarettes... on: October 17, 2013, 08:43:16 AM
The only problem with e-cigs is that you are forever puffing at it, you are infact taking in more nicotine (18-24mg) than you ever do with smoking fags! They have been banned in some football stadiums, I assume this is to make the security/steward's job a lot easier. I say let them puff away, it isn't harming us.

Richard is there a live final table feed tonight please...got DTD league so need to take laptops to watch....great work as usual............I KNOW IT'S NOT AS EASY AS YOU MAKE IT LOOK.

I don't think there is a live feed tonight, not sure why

Updates to the end then
Gives you a chance to watch three back to back NFL games out of the corner of your eye, Tighty. Shame there hasn't been any football on today.

No football on today at all.

Best of luck to all who remain anyway. And to Tighty's eyelids.
Thought Norwich and Chelsea was on earlier... I'm sure DTD will make an exception on the live final table should Herbie make it - would love to see him argue his way to winning it Cheesy .

Wadey Ashraf  raises and Jonathan Hickling calls in the blinds

Q-Q-5

Jonathan checks

Wadey 12,000

Jonathan 30,000 check raise

Wadey 65,000

Call

6 turn

Jonathan checks

Wadey a big 130,000

Wadey covers Jonathan comfortably

Jonathan folds showing K-Q!

Wadey can't resist, shows him A-7!
Oh dear, how could he fold trips on a board like that so lightly??? The chances that Wadey has a better hand than Jonathan is very minimal. AQ, 55 - this is a call all day long!
