simon/markey,  the ITIN, should you register for that as soon as you get to vegas casinos or do you wait to cash and then they sort it out after the torney???   im def going there with the intention to cash lol so want it sorted with no hiccups when I lift a bracelet.

hi markey... this ITIN number.. do you organise this before you go to vegas and how?  or at the casinos when you are there??

also if you get a big result in vegas whats the protocol for getting the cash back to the uk?? ie. say and a big if u win $250,000 - I cant see customs allowing you through the airport with a suitcase full of cash. would they bank transfer back to the uk???  pardon my ignorance! lol

thanks for the update markey, as a vegas virgin, can you give me your experience of the best time to go, I have seen your torney lists for the wsop and other venues......

I was surprised that torneys run from late may till mid july.

does may start relatively quiet then get very busy towards the main event or is it manic all the time??

Your recommendations go a long way!  Im travelling with ceri rees and waiting for the dates he is available.  thinking late June for 2/3 weeks.  anytime from the 15th june onwards.  sorry to  be vague but dates are not confirmed yet......

also I seen package deals which appear to be much cheaper that booking flights and accom separate... any thoughts.....Huh? don't really need an open ticket as im def not coming home early.... could be coming home late if fortune favours!!! and then you would not mind paying for an extra flight home!!

plan on playing some of the smaller wsop $1500 torneys but not the main event unless I get a decent result in one of them, will be punting in some 400, 500, 1k events to.

but will be trying to mix pleasure with poker, so gonna do some relaxing toristy things to while im there. ie. grand canyon, shows, etc.  otherwise my head will be spinning if im just playing poker 24/7...... its physically hard when u final table a three day event in this country so I imagine it would be the same there if u get deep, will need 24/48 to recover!!

im not really on a budget but trying to get a decent hotel for the best price!!! staying away from the obvious shit pits.... but the rest seem of par with each other unless u splash out for 5 star - which might be worth it....... where is the best hotel for quality and value youve stayed at???

329  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: ISPT Forfeiting your Day 2 Stack (And Any Other Thoughts) on: May 10, 2013, 09:14:13 AM
It seem to me to be a very difficult proposition, as only 10% go through to Wembley - are u really going to forfeit your stack and potentially not make it through the field again!!!   in theory you would never know how Wembley would have played out by not being there - even with a small ish stack - you may have an incredible run of cards and great play to smash the field.

realistically any stack under 25 bb is going to be tough to play with as your only option in Wembley is a shove...... then u need a bit of luck and I would rather rely on skilful play!!
330  Poker Forums / The Rail / wembley on: May 10, 2013, 12:55:52 AM
with the 50k starting stack.... is it feasible that the live torney will not reach down to 10% of the field in the evening.... if so would players come back the following day to get down to the magic number!!??  or will club stay open until that number is reached?
