Fantastic episode to end the season, it's really teed up the next season so well.

I honestly thought the Lannisters were going to head north to fight the undead. How bloody stupid of me...

Do we think Tormund has died after the Ice Dragon ruined the wall?

My thoughts haven't changed in the slightest.  I would only have ever been backing Stoke at 7/1 to lay it all back when they get to 2/1 or 3/1 after their tough start so you win nothing if they go down and nick a few hundred quid when they stay up.  For the purposes of this they will probably still go shorter than their current price so just sit tight would be my suggestion.  The problem is if Stoke nick a couple of wins you are left with a bet you can't get rid of but that's the chance you took having the bet in the first place.  Performance wise Stoke were fine yesterday and were unlucky not to escape with a point.  I can't wait to get stuck into laying stoke around the 2/1 mark in a few weeks time to go down.

West Ham have some serious problems, going to be a long season for Joe Hart hanging onto his England Jersey with Butland and Pickford among others charging down his throat and it is nice to see Arnie having his no shows for another team now with £24m in the bag at Stoke.  Newcastle have no money to spend as per Ashley's interview so Rafa will probably be on his way sooner rather than later.  Stoke are not going down boys.

Thoughts on our attacking options arb? It's the only area I think we're going to struggle (again!). Hopefully Berahino has an epiphany pretty soon.

I'm loving our 3 CB's. If Hughes is looking to play a back 3 with wingbacks there can't be a much more solid back 3 on paper outside the top clubs than Zouma Shawcross and Martins Indi. Not so sure about how the wing backs will work with our players, will be interesting to see.

Any courteeners fans might be interested to see that Liam Fray is doing a solo acoustic tour this autumn.

Anyone notice the hand Sinclair busted Ott was really hating his folding of the AJs  just so happens he would now be sitting pretty with 2nd biggest stack if he had donkey called with the 3rd heart on the river
Yeah I noticed immediately- if Sinclair had passed then its not beyond realms that Ott rejams with aj hearts (although still unlikely given Salas would open at and given how tight guy with aces was playing) and then would have sucked out on the aces - it's the pots you avoid losing (albeit would have been ridiculous beat in this case) that are just as key as those you win if you're to go on to win

Bloody hell, must have spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what "ott" could stand for. Had no idea it was a surname.

He's been a cracking servant for the club, can't believe it's almost 10 years since he joined. Been very much underrated for the most part. Seems like the end of an era with Glenn and Super Jon gone.

Only 5 Pulis signings left in the squad now.

What would you price us to be bottom/ bottom 3 after 8 games? Trying to get on a few quid on using these request a bet things a few bookies seem to offer now.

Home to the Arse, United, Chelsea & Southampton
Away at Everton, WBA, Newcastle & Man city

Stoke will not be a fav to win any of those first 8 games.  Maybe close to a flip at home to Soton depending on the summer dealings.

They will be 5/1 dogs at home to Ars, Manure and Chelski roughly.  Probably a 2/1 slight dog at home to Soton.  12/1 away at Man C, 7/2 away at WBA and Newcastle and 6/1 away at Everton.

In points terms they will be in for roughly 0.7 points as a 5/1 home dog in those 3 games.  Soton 1.3 points.  Man City 0.4 points.  WBA/Newc 0.9 points each.  Everton 0.6 points.  Therefore expected points roughly in first 8 games is around 6.2 points.  So when Stoke have had a awful start according to the media and sit on 7 points after 8 games looking like they are struggling remember they are less likely to go down than they were pre season because they will be ahead of the EV curve.  The price will not relate to this however.  Hopefully they will be sat on 3 points (only 3 behind expectations) and it will be 'another terrible start from Hughes and his slow starters and we will be sub 2/1 to go down.

My post on the Stoke thread earlier in the summer regarding 'lol bad starters'

Did you get anywhere with these arb? I tried the request a bet to be bottom by October but was told it wasn't being offered.

Seems to be a very open field for the golf, no clear favourites going into the tournament. There's a couple I like.

Andy Sullivan @100/1 each way, 1/4 top 6 with Baldfreds. He showed decent form at the Scottish last week to finish tied 9th, and has finished in the top 20 4 out of his last 5 tournaments including 2 top 10s. Recommend £10 e/w.

Padraig Harrington @66/1 1/4 top 6 with Bald's. One of those ones who could really roll back the years and put in a real challenge for his third claret jug but could just as easily be sat with his feet up come the weekend. Very impressive last time out in Scotland to finish in the top 5, despite a blow up on the Saturday. He also won the Open last time it was played at this course. Recommend £10 e/w.

When was the last time a Brit made the final table? Can't seem to remember it happening for a few years. GL all Brits left!

I enjoyed seeing Jim broadbent and Thomas Turgoose featuring, although I imagine turgoose was just another cameo role, alongside Ed sheeran.

Also, I bloody love the hound. What a chatacter
