Weird - was chatting to some sky regs at DTD last night and , without me doing anything to computer, I give it a try on my return home tonight (yes I busted day 1) - and now it works! Spooky but good to be back
62  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: What currency should I withdraw in on 888? on: April 17, 2015, 11:28:43 PM
they take massive spreads tho on exchange rate - so much so it pretty much killed a $100 profit I took in one session - despite depositing and withdrawing on same day!

Thanks all for feedback - some good comments - @Tikay I dont let it or the swings get me down sir but I have been meaning to give that book a go so a good shout thanks. Definitely agree with the stop loss limit concept too - I think that works just as well on winning sessions too as seeing a 2k profit dwindled to say a £500 profit hurts more than turning a losing one to break even imo - in fact nothing more satisfying than turning a deficit to break even or small profit...which is what the plan was the other night...!

I slept well and woke up in early hours and gave stars £1-£2 a spin but excercised a stop loss / ''its not my time so will stop now'' strategy after following pot when I though for once I'd broken the premium hand (and yeah yeah I know the call pre was dubious) - you gotta laugh...take a look;

...we've all had them (I guess) - where no matter how well you play it is just not your night....morning! Often this is mirrored by someone who just cant miss - a certain Frenchman last night/today live at a card room in London (not just versus me but versus everyone, well was case when I called it a day - probaly too late btw) - all my premiums correctly played (I honestly think) but losing bit pots to your likes of KJ, JQ,44 and twice! Ace 5 off...apart from a good nights sleep - what is best cure? A few days off or back on the horse? I have tried to think of how differently I could have played my kings and queens etc but I just think I got super unlucky - e.g. his ace 5 hitting a 5 on river versus my queens in a multi way pot pre when every other draw missed ....c'est la vie as le villain probably is thinking - I could have been seen muttering another French expression as I left after a nother big pot defeat

PS I then played a quick cash game on line on stars and ran it twice 10s v AK and lost both so will be not donating any more today and would probaly thus not advocate the getting straight back on the horse theory....

will be in New York for mini which is pity (re missing mini not going to NY!) but binked a package for main at first attempt last night so will be back up for that - see if I cant improve on my min cash in UKPC - any word on structure Tighty as per my question earlier on thread? UKIPT London was a faster one, not sure if that was due to running it for 3 days but hopefully this one is a tad slower. Cheers.

Hi Abo,

Pretty sure the structure, clock & all the gubbins are here......

Thanks Tikay - so pretty a much a copy of the succesful Sky UKPC structure then - all good - though they will need to go some to match success of yours - they can start by allowing Tighty to blog for one!

Also the £300 works well and better than the £1k (changed to 500) 8 handed event so all in all good as long as Tighty is allowed to write about the action...and hopefully that includes success for yours truly!

Oh and my daughters will get to go to Alton Towers as half term - just need to work my magic at hotel re 3 guests not 2...

Sorry Tighty - think I was still shellshocked from winning that kk v qq all in pre pot despite my opponent turning the queen...it was a fun but long, tiring, and for me, very swingy day! Great job everyone involved - see you at weekend

hi - just double checking that the 11 am final (live) mini day 1 tomorrow at 11am will be all done well ahead of the 3pm day 2 start - doh I know as I write that this has to be so but just triple checking as I have already got a day 2 stack via on line day 1 (but v modest) so dont want to mess things up! PS Simon says we can do this and not forefeit existing day 2 stack so why not....cheers.

Hi ABO,

Sunday's Turbo Flight @ 11am plays 14 Levels @ 15 minutes per level.
Cheers Tikay - 2:30pm finish then I make that so even with a couple of shorts breaks should be fine - thanks again

hi- I made it to day 2 of mini last night on-line with a very modest amount but chip and a chair and all that....besides I note Sunday also has first day of 1k so wont be a wasted trip...will I get an email from Party Poker/DTD re confirmation or do I just tell DTD staff my Party Poker User ID on Sunday? Cheers.

turn up for day 2, the cardroom team will have already entered your details onto the system

check the seat draw when it goes up, if not there (by any chance) go to the cash desk
thank you

Hi,

All the UKPC Events this time are single re-entry per day, &/or re-enter on subsequent days if you wish.

See....
