Ha. If only eh

The only saving grace in this entire scenario is that I at least have a chance to make it to the sunshine. Cause let's face it, I'm never going to do this with the year I'm having!

I need to catch up with you all, but it's been a busy time. Lots to report before we fly out to Berlin for the WSOPE.

I'll try and post soon!!!

4 wins on the bounce , going along nicely.

Indeed. And we're playing really rubbish too. Can't wait until we actually start playing!!!

I do love the Championship.

24 played the ladies event

11 made it to day 2 today

25    1    Lynne Beaumont
25    2    Linda Iwaniak
25    3    Vanessa Haney
25    5    Renee Xie
25    6    Lauren Render
25    7    Jessica Pilkington

26    1    Ann Tillotson
26    2    Hazel Birchnall
26    3    Lorraine Wasiuta
26    7    Amanda Birney
26    8    Paula Cowling

Bugger - Natalie Bromley must have busted late. She's running so bad right now.

unfortunately she busted 12th

not good, sadly...play all day and go late.

Sadly yes. Bust the penultimate hand of the day, with 4 mins left on the clock.

I wasn't that romantic about the end-of-the-day thing tbh. I'd lost a huge pot a couple of hands earlier (flush over flush) and had found a really perfect (albeit a bit funky - Marc will be proud when I tell him) squeeze spot that would have given me a decent stack to go on for the FT with. And it sooooooooo nearly worked. Bar a clock call (by me) and a pesky river.

It's always nice to bag up, especially after a long day of play, but I'd have taken that spot at any time. Just one of those things.

Good to see you Tikay and glad you got home okay x

Ah! A Championship thread. Your Belle approves. I do love the Championship. And here was me thinking that young Tighty had turned his back on us little guys  talktothehand

Summary

1.  Who will win the division?

Middlesbrough. I actually expect them to have the job done and be sat back, kicking their heels by March.

2.  Dark horses for the play-offs?

Birmingham and Brighton. Saying that, Birmingham could equally find themselves in the relegation zone!

3.  Likely to be in trouble?

Blackburn. And oh how we will laugh. And laugh. And laugh. And laugh

My Team - Burnley FC, home of the Clarets

I am torn about how our season is going to pan out. We are still widely tipped as favourites to go straight back up, but we just as easily finish mid-table and have a very 'meh' season. The biggest problem is that we don't know how to score goals. We have 8 senior strikers at the club, and so far not one of them has scored! Our leading scorer is our full back! Barton could be a genius signing, or a disaster.

Meh, ask me again in January!

Ps as an aside, I am horrified to learn today that QPR have managed to keep hold of Charlie Austin. That could see them mount a challenge. Urgh.

When Barnsley signed Mido a couple of years ago it turns out he was actually just monumental due to a slight lack of conditioning.

His playing career with us lasted 27 minutes.

Is this for real?!  27 minutes?Huh?

Wow

Well this is all making me feel much better. Thanks guys...

What you need is a Burnley shirt. With "JOEY BARTON" on the back.

My Dad might never speak to me again!

When the toon signed Bowyer I had the same predicament. Never warmed to him. Didn't help he was useless for us like, but the sight of him in our top 1st game of the season was horrific

And yet when we signed Barton it was different.

He will give his all for the club, be one of the top 3 midfielders in the league, and really is a better human than he was 10years ago.

Is he perfect? No. But you genuinely believe him when he says he wants to be a better person and he's paid his debts, as it were. If I were a Burnley fan I'd be cartwheeling.

So my beloved Burnley FC has today signed Joey Barton

My head tells me this is an incredible signing. Talent beyond words and should slice through Championship midfields like the parting of the seas.

My heart is telling me that this is Joey Barton. A monumental bellend (pardon my French).

I've genuinely never been more torn about a signing in my life. What do I do??

Anyone else had this at their club?!

To add to Tighty, she has just boss moded a big pot in the mini event to chip up to about 100k

Team Bromley is on its 5th bullet in the UKPC Mini. We're gonna have to take Gold and Silver in this god damn thing just to break even!!!

Ironically, it says:

I have no shame.

I have somehow managed to end up booked to go closing weekend for the first time in about 15 years - this has given me my first twinge of excitement about the whole thing.

Beyond jealous!

Post pics when you get back please. Which parties are you planning on going to?

I had this on all the way through last night - it was the background to my Sunday session

Superb.

Might nip out to Ibiza for the Bank Holiday weekend now

It seemed to work - Ms Bromley won her UKPC seat.

Was a pretty intense bubble!!!
