Great viewing but a very one sided documentary......Agree great viewing. One sided? Well, yes because NH was the main focus

I’ll give my opinion on the trial I don’t think it’s a spoiler because this is public knowledge.

NH is guilty ....... Disagree
The police investigation was very unprofessional and probably racially biased...... Yes and racially biased, no "probably" about it
John Jones is a twat ................Agree
Tandy (The mother) will never get justice......yes she probably won't
The race card was expertly played
Money bought innocence in this trial .... Having friends in the right places was fortunate. Otherwise an innocent man would have been locked up

There are to many inconsistencies in NH’s story, the whole cigarette thing, the injury to his ankle, being in the parking lot and not getting out the car and then leaving the parking lot 7 seconds after Garrett, taking a left instead of a right to go home..... not enough to convict a man of murder

Having his daughter give an alibi to say he was home and a text message much later from his daughter asking what was for dinner all sounds dodgy to me and the shear fact he was so calm and not devastated by the news of Garrets death which I would expect from any reasonable person makes me think he was guilty...........I thought his daughter was very credible. I'm a reasonable person who shows zero emotional reaction when first  receiving disturbing news. Need to compute and the emotion hits later

This is a case of Police incompetence and the legal system being able to be bought. If that filmmaker didn’t pay for NH’s bail and his defence team NH would have been found guilty and probably rightfully so.

Great viewing though........

With both Jesus and Segio starting this evening does that mean whichever one is subbed first will start on Saturday?

Asking on behalf of my FF team.

Jesus off 5 mins before the end. Aguero played the full 90.  A motm performance for Aguero last night - looked v sharp and Jesus not so much.

Depends who Pep has got in mind for Liverpool in 10 days. I'd guess Aguero plays this weekend, Jesus at Atalanta next week and Aguero back in for Anfield after a full weeks rest.

On the other hand ...

Liverpool 2.9 ish for home game against City a week on Sunday. Some traded on exchange for >3.
City in the range 2.3 to 2.45 most places.

V surprised to see City as favourite for this. Price is shorter than last year when we played at Anfield in the Autumn and then on the back of a run of W42 L2. City currently far more vulnerable than a year ago.

https://experimental361.com/2019/10/26/expected-goals-league-tables-25-28-oct-2019/

This might help explain the price.   Some interesting reading for sure here.   Soton should be higher in the table than Leics and Stoke are virtually a play off team in the 'real' league table.

Yep, I get it with the models and the price to a point.  I use xG all the time, mainly understat, which  is great  because it is so accessible and on there for expected points City are on 24 points (actual 22) and LIverpool 20 points (so +8 on actual of 28).

City continue to create loads and score for fun but defensive stats are way down. Restricting opponents shots on target is well down - about 7th in PL this season whilst last season it was the lowest in top 5 european leagues since stats published.....opta big chances conceded for the whole of last season just 30, this season just 10 games in and already at 20..... xGA about 1.1pg this season compared to 0.45 2nd half of last season. ....important personnel missing... and it is Liverpool at rabid Anfield Smiley

Liverpool price has already dropped a bit but still big val in my book.

The Speaker rules that it would be “repetitive & disorderly” for the government to put Johnson’s Brexit Deal to a Meaningful Vote today.

On we go.

https://twitter.com/sturdyAlex/status/1186304106526363649

Olympic level petard hoisting.

I just don't think many people outside the abso convinced remainers see it like this - most people just see a strange little man, rather full of himself, trying to stop Brexit - it may be completely wrong but I think Boris and Co are playing a blinder in losing every vote and winning outside parliament. Even more nuanced observers would note his willingness to break convention at times being rarely in support of pursuing Brexit

There has to be an election soon doesn't there and surely the conservatives absolutely romp it?

I know lots of labour devotees who wouldn't dream of voting for labour now because of JC and his brexit antics. They seem to love Boris though.

I don't know of any regular conservative who voted remain and would now switch to labour because of JC just being a general bell end.

Out of interest is there anybody on here who voted conservative at the last election and would now switch to Labour?

Anybody normally labour who would now switch to conservative?

Perhaps another poll thread is needed to see where the blondes allegiance currently lies?

An election would surely just be throwing in the towel for remainers?

Everybody knows it's really a vote about Brexit but they also know that they can't vote for JC because of....... Well because he's JC.

In my opinion of course.....

Why can't we vote for JC exactly? Apart from being told we can't and that he's unelectable over and over. This was a big thing going round at the previous election. But Labour campaigned well and boosted a lot.

I don't think anyone can really predict what will happen in a GE. My instinct is it will be closer than people think but who knows.

You're fundamentally missing the point: they already voted on it on Saturday.

Parliament agreed to only hold the MV after the WAB legislation has been scrutinized and passed.

That isn't dressing things up and isn't any sort of agenda by the speaker. It's simply the facts of the situation.

Strange then that the lead news report on LBC says Bercow will decide whether to allow the vote or not.

Seems the media are as stupid as me then.

Let’s cut the bull. It’s a political move.

Indeed it is. By the government.

They didn't like the result of the vote on Saturday so want to have it again. Sound familiar?

The fact it is Bercow's discussion is immaterial. That's his job.

Bercow can allow the vote.

To quote the BBC news feed "It will be up to Speaker John Bercow to decide whether to allow the vote."

It would be an overtly political move by Bercow not to allow the vote (although he will dress it up as parliamentary procedure).

No it won't. It's just following the rules. He will also act on advice. You can try and claim it is political by referring to it as such as much as you want but that doesn't make it so.

And again... why would allow it anyway? They voted on it 2 days ago and reached a decision. You've ignored that key point.

We wont agree. The idea that this is just procedural is laughable.

When you stop and think about it, we have a situation where MP's are not able to vote specifically (without amendments) on a deal negotiated by the Government with the EU.

You have to ask at what point is it in the national interest to get our elected representatives view on the deal.

We should know sometime around 2.30ish if Bercow will let govt have the straight vote it craves on the Brexit deal today - it seems unlikely because govt didn't pull the vote on Saturday they walked away from it (negatived anyone?)

So theoretically Commons DID give a view on the issue, so can't be asked to give a different one today - let's see - govt is desperate to have a vote on the whole shebang asap to show momentum, before getting into days of scrutiny where MPs will try to make changes to the deal

Then Peston:
Parliament’s rules, Erskine May, seem clear that the Speaker cannot allow ⁦
BorisJohnson ⁩ to bring back his meaningful vote today. Speaker implied as much on Saturday anyway. Slightly odd perhaps that Leader ⁦
Jacob_Rees_Mogg ⁩ tried

Just watched some of news.

Comment made that Bercow may not even allow a vote tomorrow.

He has already pushed impartiality to its limits.

If this were the case and the Speaker denies the vote, he will have become overtly political.

Given it appears Johnson has the numbers, the attempts by any means to stop him are becoming more and more extreme. Total joke.

I don’t think is about being impartial, I’d say it was more due to parliamentary procedure. I wouldn’t be confident of the numbers either, going to be super close, but there was a switcher from the deal to going against today

Could you explain the bolded part for us Aaron? Maybe cite this parliamentary procedure you are referring to.
Explain it in simple terms for me though, because I am one of those less educated folks who voted Leave.

After  Letwin went through the government chose not to push the MV. I'm reading that was a mistake and they should have done.
Bercow likely to  rule out of order tomorrow as MV (i) same issue twice (ii) contradicts Letwin amendment which says Brexit related legislation must be agreed first i.e the actual withdrawal agreement and the procedures relating to that.

Doesn't suit Boris but of course the media line will be that he is being denied again and Bercow is a **** blah blah.  All good for Conservative votes when we finally get to GE.

Disagree, Brexit party will still be live, stripping tories of votes in marginal constituencies- result hung parliament, back round the circle we go.

I understand the point but if it goes to an election during an extension he is fighting an election without the No Deal option but  still on the hardest of Brexit deals. Complicated.

Games between us and LFC often produce results that are against the form. Hopefully today is in that trend.
A win by a 2 goal margin today moves us up to 7th

It may not be likely, it may not happen, and I wouldn’t bet on it happening, but the gap between 6th and 18th is very small.

A more realistic 4-0 defeat puts you in the bottom five to add balance.

Thanks for pointing that out Arb.

As it happens that was the most encouraging display for quite some time. Well worth a point, wouldn’t have been a travesty if we’d won.

I enjoyed that today . Certainly deserved the point but a shame you didn't hold out for the win. VAR was fun as well Smiley

Sunday Times reporting extension agreed until February.

Conjecture only and then only if he doesn't get the deal through this week.
