Just ran pretty bad yesterday, annoying when it happens lol
I played again for about 30 mins and ended up about 1 bi up, so not terrible. Just a lot of play for not much return!
What are peoples thoughts on MTT's over Cash.
Do you think it's better just to concentrate on one over the other?
Loads of people say I should play Sats for bigger events, just don't like sats! I probably should start doing this.

I played about 4 hours tonight, was really frustrating, within about 30 mins I was down 2 buy in's got coolered once and another hand where I could have folded.
I stopped playing then went back for another session, and at one point was 4 bi's up, but went and through away just under 2 bi's for what was just over a break even session. Just annoying cause I lost money in stupid spots that should have been folds.

6 handed game, I'm utg with 10nl, I raise to 50p, bigger than usual, but there's 1 player at the table likes to see every flop, possibly could go a bit more. UTG plus 1 calls, big blind calls. I have 22.97, bb has 23, utg plus 1 has £12. Flop Bb checks, I bet 1.16 3/4 pot. Call call. Turn is , I bet £2.52, half pot, I know it's pretty bad I should have bet probably about £3.80 - £4 (pots about a fiver) UTG plus 1 folds, bb calls. The river, , bb donk bets half pot, I fold. Reads; been playing at the table for over an hour with opponent, never clashed before, from what I could see he was pretty tight. I think it's an easy fold. Any shout for calling this? Maybe a better turn size bet would have taken it down there and then, but I doubt he'd fold hish flush / straight draw.

Thanks for the responses, just made a post but then i had been signed out lol
I don't like the shove here, i think it's not the best play. I think opponents range, the way it's played, they have an over pair to the board, JAcks or Queens, possibly Kings, maybe aces. The min raise, made me think it was Jacks or Queens. It could be AQ, AK, i didn't have any great reads on opponent, but felt they would check AK, AQ here on the button to see a free card.
I don't like calling here OOP, and couldn't have asked for a much better flop with K9 suited.
But shoving kind of turns my hand face up, i'm not likely to play a set this way.
I definatly think raising, shoving any turn is the way to go.
The only thing with this is, i don't like shoving when my equity has reduced if i blank the turn.
Is this play profitable in as the opponent can fold here often enough to justify it (if we blank) and atleast if we are called we still have outs?

Table is 4 handed, 10nl on Sky. I have K9 of hearts UTG, , £17.47 stack. I raise to 30p, Button min raises to 50p, SB folds, BB calls, I call the extra 20p. He has £8.52 Flop comes down , bb checks, I check and Button bets 3/4 pot 0.90p he has £7.62 behind. BB folds. What would you do here? I don't like just raising cause of the size of his stack, I decided just to set him all in. Opponent calls. Is it 2 much setting him all in, what line would you take here on the flop?

My MTT stats for November:
SCHEDULED 11/01/2013-11/25/2028 83 £2.47 £2.09 143% £205 75
I've just been really lucky in a lot of spots, hopefully it continues into December!
Cash has went really well overall, won a good amount at 10nl, lost about 4 bi's at 20nl, and won 1 bi at 50 nl

Good luck!
I would say your best option is, if possible, try and get about £40-50 use that as your starting bankroll.
At low limit games just play tight and aggressive, and don't be scared folding top pair good kicker. At the mircos if someone re-raises you, 1 pair is seldom ever good.
No idea what site you are on, but if the site has a section for analysing hands, utilise it is much as possible, this will help your game improve a lot.
Or use the poker clinic section on here. Another good way to improve is to have poker friends on Skype and just chat stuff over with them, get their feedback on hands.
All the best

Thanks everyone, I've never done that before, bb /100, I take it that's hands.
I only keep a track of profit (or losses), daily.
It's hard to keep track of hands played, as sky doesn't have that info.
I suppose 4-6 tabling, that's about 300 hands per hour roughly.
I probably play about 10- 12 hours per week at cash, so about 3600-4k hands per week, probably a bit more than this.
Based on this, my win rates atleast 10 blinds per 100, it's probably more.
Edit, apparently 6 max, it's more llike 80-90 hands per hour, so win rate 6/7 per100
But it's only 10nl I play.
Interesting Pleno you say I should play higher! The standard in 20nl is definatly a lot tougher than 10nl.
There is a few players that would just own me at that level! Where as at 10nl most times I can run the tables.

"Poker a journey" is a pretty bad title, I need a new title, suggestions welcomed!
In December i'm going to try and make £1000 clear profit, cause i'm going to have loads of time to play.
Given the stakes I play it's going to be really difficult, I've already had a couple of messages from people saying it's almost impossible playing 10nl with some 20nl and low stake MTTs, but that's the goal for December, I just need to run awesome.

Hey!
Just wondering what a good win rate at cash online is in terms of BI's.
For online cash grinders what is a reasonable amount of BI's to win on average per month? Based on playing a couple of hours a day most days.
Also wondering if people set themselves targets, eg make 20 BI profit per month, or whatever the case may be?
