Couple of bet suggestions for the Bahrain GP. Top Six Finish - Lando Norris @ 15/8 with Sky & William Hill. Lando starts from 9th but underperformed in qualifying yesterday relative to the pace of his car, ending 0.125s behind Ricciardo in 6th. Lando needs a strong start for this to come in, but between the Renault's sometimes suffering poor race pace seemingly at random, the ability to overtake on this circuit, 3 DRS zones, and the varied strategy options tomorrow, 15/8 feels a tad overpriced to me. Suggest 10 points. https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/bahrain-grand-prix/top-6-finish Points Finish - Carlos Sainz @ EVS with William Hill. Best spot of the weekend by some distance. If Carlos can avoid any carnage on the opening lap, there is a much better probability of this coming in than the price suggests - even if he elects to start from the back of the grid (which is possible, but unlikely). 25 points. https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/bahrain-grand-prix/points-finishHoly fuck! So glad Grosjean is ok after that, truly horrific

I know there's constitutional stuff around succession but if Trump died pre election is there a mechanism for Republicans to choose a new candidate who isn't Pence
I think if it were to happen, the party would have to nominate another candidate as they normally do, just would be rushed through. Pence would only 'inherit' the presidency, but wouldn't automatically become the Republican candidate for the election. Believe this is the same should Biden become incapacitated, the Democrats would still have to formally nominate someone else through the normal process. (This may be slightly wrong, will leave to someone with better knowledge to correct)

Thanks for the praise chaps Same circuit, same scenario, different race. Styrian GP time this weekend. Unfortunately, there's not as much value as I had expected out there, but here are my suggestions. Practice One Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ 6/4 & Valtteri Bottas @ 3/1 - Mercedes were 1-2 in all three practice sessions last weekend, and the closest anyone else got to P1 was Max Verstappen who was 0.283s behind in FP3, so I don't really understand why these prices are both so high. The chance of precipitation is under 10% so minimal risk there. I'm intending to bet both with 25 points each. https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/styrian-grand-prix/practice-1-winning-driver Fastest Qualifier - Valtteri Bottas @ 2/1 - it's pretty clear to almost everyone that Lewis is the quicker driver, and Valtteri's best chance to beat Lewis is over one lap rather than over a race distance. I'm surprised to see this priced as high as 2/1 given that he managed it last weekend. 10 points. https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/styrian-grand-prix/fastest-qualifierRace Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ EVS - I'm happy to take Lewis at EVS given the advantage Mercedes have got this year. 20 points. https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/styrian-grand-prix/winner- Mercedes did not win practice one, bookies got extremely lucky IMO. - Hamilton got pole ahead of Bottas with a superb lap. - Hamilton did win the race, quite comfortably. Small loss this weekend. How does your pre season analysis look compared to what we've seen over the last couple weekends? Ferrari definitely look very bad indeed

a 6am re-open for pubs tomorrow is stupefyingly daft isn't it?
starting on a Saturday was odd enough, but people are going to be in a state with no chance of acting responsibly?
I think this was partly to stop places opening up at midnight

Any love for bottas/max/albon season bets for the title with the shortened season? Also, how badly affected will Ferrari be with going back to pre season car & going down a different development route? A likely (but not yet confirmed) shorter season certainly plays into the hands of the "long shot" title contenders, but realistically I don't see how anyone outside Lewis/Valtteri can win the title this year. Their advantage seems insurmountable to me, possibly even larger than I originally anticipated on the basis of what we saw today. I do have some money on Valtteri to win the title at 6-1 EW (top two) and you can currently get 7-1, so there is some value to be had. 9/2 or 5/1 feels more in the correct range IMO. That's disastrous for Ferrari with the shortened season; it's not even as if their car pre-season had much pace either. My pre-season analysis had them finishing 3rd overall, but potentially starting out the season as the 5th fastest team. Looking at the race simulations from today, I make Ferrari (at least in the hands of Leclerc) 4th fastest on the medium tyres and 6th fastest on the soft tyres. Vettel was even further back. It's going to be a challenging season for them I suspect. Wow! Didn't realise it could be that bad for Ferrari!! Thank's for your insights

Guess it comes down to how many twats descend on the place without booking......
Mate of mine is a manager of a pub in Portsmouth, first day back proper from furlough was yesterday....he had someone from the nearby hospital ring up & try to book a space for 40 doctors/nurses!

I wasn't too sure about going on the first Saturday but my local seems to be taking a very responsible and I'll be there to support them. (Seriously it's all for them.....)
They've put the following measures in place:
- We will be stepping up our sanitising hand washing & cleaning regime
- All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE: face masks/ visors & gloves
- all condiments will be in sachets for single use & disposable
- a one way system will be in place with designated entrance and exit doors (Entrance will be via the doors opposite co-op)
- We will have a member of management on the door all day every day.
- we are temperature checking every staff member before shift & all customers on arrival
- all tables will be spaced a minimum of 1m apart or split by a standing screen (luckily we are fortunate enough to have plenty of space to spread out)
- our wollaton app will be in place for all orders to be placed & food/drink will be delivered to the table by a staff member (we will have disposable menus available for anyone who doesn’t wish to use the ap)
- Perspex screens are being fitted at the bar to separate customers from bar staff
- We will be running a reduced food menu to allow a smaller kitchen team to allow a safe social distance working environment
- No standing will be permitted (everyone must be sat at tables) & no congregating at the bar will be allowed
It'll be quite different but if it's implemented and followed then it seems safe and also tolerable to me. Guess it comes down to how many twats descend on the place without booking......
Sounds pretty standard for the pubs near me as well. I'd expect them keep some tables aside for walk ins. I'd be more worried of the twats who see mates inside & suddenly go over for a talk/catch up. Or even try to get tables together etc...could be hard for the staff to police
