Surely the pubs and restaurants will not just go back to business as usual.
Won't they be similar to supermarkets allowing a small number of people in at a time, or will all that queueing be over now?
Absolutely this. Pubs will be limiting numbers within the venue, majority of tables should be pre booked. Maximum of 6 people at a table, some are limiting a table to a max of 2 hours. Ideally everything ordered via an app, if not it should be table service. People should not go up to the bar to order & should not stand around anywhere inside

Something that's been bothering me slightly:
The pub closures were announced on a Friday if I remember correctly with closure at mid-night that same day. A lot of people made the most of it that day and were drinking literally 'til they got kicked out and many people berated them saying that they were disgusting/irresponsible.
Is it equally as bad for people to be waiting outside next Saturday for the pubs to open? I can;t imagine the same degree of moaning although it doesn't seem very different to me.
On the Friday Boris said to venues to close as soon as reasonably possible that day. As could be predicted by trusting common sense they were all rammed until closing. Re-opening on a Saturday is asking for trouble but most businesses will have to go along with it and open. I'm sure there will be queues outside pubs that morning for any outside tables and social distancing will be out the window by mid afternoon. If you read the guidance & some of the lines that the big companies are taking, popping to the pub for a couple pints looks like it will be a challenge. I guess it depends on how stringent each pub is about it all

How many of you are counting down the days waiting for that 1st pint? A haircut? Or getting away for a staycation?
Or are you not overly bothered, would rather wait a bit longer or for when restrictions are relaxed further as it wouldn't be the experience you are after?

I can't be doing with Maguire because he won't admit to liking or caring about anything.
I'm always relieved when Maguire remembers to bring his chalk. Allen is old-school re.chalk - just sticks it right down in his trouser-pocket - he must go through loads of pockets. I wore ripped jeans long before they were fashionable due to the chalk. Eventually I bought a magnetic chalk holder and never looked back. Click to see full-size image. |
That gadget brings back memories as a kid! I've never understood these, I play lots of pool & odd bit of snooker myself & my pocket suits me just fine What do you call lots? If you play 8-10 hour days, 6-7 days a week and chalk your cue every shot, the chalk will wear your pants out. I'm sure Mark or Ralph will testify. Before changing jobs I was playing probably 6/7 days a week for a couple hours a day apart from sun & mon where it was a lot more. These days (pre lockdown) it's mainly just Monday nights (league night) & whenever I can get a knockabout in down the pub. Tbh most lf my jeans/trousers have holes in their pockets, so from what you guys are saying it makes sense 😂 Still not a fan of those thingys though!

5. Number of acting roles by Robert De Niro, according to IMDB? 121
KarmaDope 120 - 1 Karabiner 119 - 2 Juperjiper 112 – 9 Rubbish2407 109 - 12 bergeroo 101 - 20 Ironside 100 - 21 Cf 100 - 21 4KSuited 145 - 24 Tal 150 - 29 Dacorb 80 - 41 TightEnd 75 - 46 jakally 70 - 51 celtic 63 - 58 MintTrav 62 - 59 stribling 62 - 59 nirvana 200 - 79 sonour 200 - 79 ripple11 31 - 90 Arbboy 24 - 97 bunnydas8888 300 - 179
Not a question you could go too far wrong on, with only Bunnydas8888 thinking De Niro is in every second film. Incredible again from KarmaDope who watches a lot of De Niro films whilst selling iPhones. A few of the league stragglers have a good question with Karabiner, Juperjiper, Cf, 4KSuited and Tal all scoring well.
having just checked IMDB, i clearly included all of his performances where he was himself but in reality i'm happy with where i finished, strong performance to get out of the relegation spots, but at the end of the day, i was just shit

Only 8 so far.
Notable absentees are Doobs, Tal, Ironside, Bunny, Robbie, Dacorb, Hector and Juper? Where's Tikay and Marky? Haven't seen them enter any of these?
Hope everyone's all good? Will do a reveal late afternoon, early evening.
Doing my entry later today!
