but though £45m/£54m was an awful lot to spend on a full-back, it also happened to be nearly half of the Lukaku fee, one that was widely celebrated. Wouldn’t readers put two and two together and see the hypocrisy? They’re not idiots after all.

Is he suggesting that you can't overpay for a player because another one (that plays an entirely different/more valuable role in the team) cost more?

Levy is a genius at keeping his top top players on mickey mouse salaries.  No idea how he does it year after year.

Getting the best striker in the league on £120k for the next 5 years, the same year the monster TV money kicked in, was a masterclass.

Seems like he's already endeared himself to the City fans a while ago.

Bit different comparing the price to Bonucci. He had a massive falling out with the Juve management and his son is seriously ill so would never be moving far from Turin anyway. Best player in any position in the Prem for £50m is good value imo these days.

Prefer this to either Griezmann or Morata. Way lower variance signing, probably replacing like for like goals with Ibra but does still feel a little under whelming. His first touch is shit and so is his hold up play. But out of the options available (which were very limited) he's probably the best fit overall. With the exception of De Gea, Valencia and Herrera our starting line up is 24 or under. Think we'll still sign one more player, a holding midfielder type and fingers crossed another striker, unless Jose is going to bring more of the academy lads through for league cup etc. Hernandez back would be ideal, he's a real fan fav, relatively cheap and great to throw on to grab you a goal.
Really looking forward to a Stormzy, Desiigner, Pogba colab on the announcement vid.

Annie's is a burger place that is very very good, plus there's a bar below that serves all sorts of great drinks and has mario kart and other games.

My personal thoughts on these kind of things are basically that as soon as someone as low down the financial food chain as me finds out about it it's already too late. The only reason I'm now getting a chance to get in on the act is that it's the final phase of the originators of whatever it is making their billions.

I imagine a few of people are going to make a countless amount of money out of this. Sadly that's going to mean that countless people are going to lose a lot as well.

It doesn't create anything, doesn't build anything, doesn't manufacture anything. There are a finite number of bitcoins that have increased in value enormously somehow. The people who already own them are going to do alright by the looks of it but somewhere down the line people are going to have to lose exactly the same amount of money between them that the bitcoin people have made. There's no other possibility unless money somehow just disappears completely. It may be that bitcoin makes another currency crash. That means that the poor guy who owns that particular currency has now lost everything he/she owns.

The creators are making out it's some kind of revolution but I can't see any reason they created it other than to make themselves insanely rich. Now they just have to get it out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible to maximise their own personal wealth.

Not that I'm a cynic or anything Smiley

Buying drugs, guns and people is a lot easier now tbf.

One newspaper article from 2001? Is that really the best you can do?

Are you aware of how much damage 23000 Jihadi's could do? There were no more than 500 active members of the IRA at any one time and they came pretty close to destroying the British government. If your figure was even close to being true it'd be the end of normal life in this country, but in actuality you're more likely to be killed by your microwave than an act of terrorism.
These Jihadi's are incredibly piss poor terrorists in comparison to the IRA and ETA.

Their book condones raping children

And yet only 0.003% of Uk muslims are potential child rapists. Why aren't we seeing child rapes in the millions in the UK?
