Bloody hell, was my last post on here really February 2020?!
Not much has happened since then anyway, football or otherwise.

On the 14.55 Luton to Porto tomorrow.

Come on City.

Assume people have seen the Virgin black Friday sale?

£1k returns to America in upper, including Vegas. Seems to be loads of dates available until end ish of June, then it disappears.

Currently holding 2 returns at work for myself and a mate, going mid June. Matched it up with an error price for the Skylofts at MGM which is highly unlikely to be honoured, so we have a week at CP as plan B for a very good rate; just over 400 quid.

Everything half price for reward seats too, pretty incredible value available.

Fingers crossed they honour the Skyloft booking!

Would be nice if they did, but I think when it's spotted that we have a weeks stay reserved for less than the normal cost of 1 night, I think it will pulled from under us haha

CP isn't a bad plan B though.

Everything crossed that Vegas will be ok for international visitors by June.

For those looking ahead to summer 2021, Caesars Palace look to have some very good rates across various dates; seen prices starting from as low as £66 a night in June.

I've provisionally booked a week there 22-29 June, with return flights in premium economy with Virgin (outbound direct, inbound via LAX), for £1020pp for myself and a mate, which seems a very competitive price.

I say provisionally cos fuck knows how realistic it is to go ahead and thankfully I don't have to pay a deposit through work  Cheesy

Also another BA luxury sale has started up again, same dates in CP is £1728pp for Club out/into Gatwick.
Think the lead in price is Excalibur for about £1500pp so its a very good price for CP.

Whether we'll be able to visit Vegas relatively normally by June is another matter altogether!

Had our BA Vegas holiday in November cancelled the other day by British Airways.
We were due to fly on the Gatwick service, but looks like that ends in mid October and they didn't offer to move us to Heathrow (which was fine, as we're making other plans)

Really hard to see when the average UK tourist will be able to visit America again. Until early summer I was pretty confident November would go ahead without issues, now I think anyone hoping to have a trouble free visit in 2020 is a pipe dream.

Already got a packed 2021 holiday wise so could be 2022 before I can get to Sin City again, big sigh.

Oh Watford, you couldn't make it up.

Mate I'm due to go to Vegas with in November is part of some US travel group on Facebook.
Load of people been screenshotting how BA have cancelled their holiday to America (often New York or Vegas), despite it not going until September onwards.

Some of this could well be operational reasons as they trim services to meet the lower demand (or in the case of Gatwick, possibly scrapping the route altogether)

But America have completely fucked it with Covid19 and despite November being quite a way off I'm really unsure if our holiday will go ahead.
Looks like BA have been cancelling before the balance due date, which no doubt helps streamline their refund operation.

I guess we'll know one way or the other by September. Plan B is the Caribbean. Plan C is Canary Islands. Plan D Skegness.

I'm there for a week in mid November, one of them dirt cheap BA deals from before the shit hit the fan, can't wait and it will be a nice bonus if it falls during the WSOP (not that I'll be partaking in any events I don't think but the general buzz around town and the non-stop cash action that ensues)

Yeah if pushed I'd say its more unlikely than likely but with almost 12 weeks to go a lot can change (good or bad).

The problem is it's 2 countries that can throw a spanner in the works....Spain might be tentatively open by then but the UK could still be in bad shape and not permitting travel, or the opposite of course.

I work in the industry and the general consensus is that by June is when things will have improved enough for people to start commencing travel and other normal activities.
Most airlines are grounding flights until 31st May (Jet2 only until 1st May at present)

Watch this space but hoping for the best.

Sadly if these knob heads keep treating this as an extended bank holiday then we'll never get out of our homes.

Does anyone else have a holiday booked for within the next 3 months?

We are booked for Gran Canaria in May and the total for us was around £1500. It was booked through TUI and they haven't been great about the holiday (when we booked). They are apparently offering refunds or vouchers, but should they be willing to add more onto the voucher (if needed) for another holiday. The alternative holiday in November was like £175 more.

In other news hotels being pretty decent about bookings and Airport lounges we booked have been fully refunded.

Also going Gran Canaria but not until mid June (should have been going to Vegas  Cry Cry ), think it's a flip if mine goes ahead or not.

TUI have no obligation to top up your voucher, they are allowing free amendments for anyone booked to travel before June 30th but naturally you'll have to pay the difference in cost between original and new booking. £175 for peace of mind doesn't seem like too much to pay.

You could always wait it out and make a late decision on it, on the off chance Spain really improves in April.

No matter who we support, what our political allegiances are, how we like our bread buttered etc

I'm sure we can all agree that Tim Martin is an utter cockwomble and a shitstain on society.

Surprised Fellaini has caught it, when he has been greeting people with his elbows for years.

Probably the only positive to this is that this utter shitshow should be the end of Trump and Johnson.
