Man City to be highest scoring team, 2/1 with Bald.

Seems pretty trivial to outline why Wink but we have topped the scoring charts 4 years running, see no reason for this run to end. The addition of the attack minded Guardiola coupled with the signings of Sane and Nolito, with Jesus joining at Christmas (no pun) gives us added firepower. Expect Aguero to thrive with the service available to him and he is the best finisher in the division. No-one has improved their forward line as much as City this window.

Key point is we now have a master tactician for those games when teams set out to frustrate us; Pellers had no plan B and it would sometimes show on the pitch, can't foresee that happening under Pep.

Expect Jose to park the bus for a lot of the big games, and Conte being Italian will probably not go hell for leather every game. Biggest threat probably comes from Spurs but its difficult to look past City making it 5 in a row.

not ignoring you, just hoping for corroboration/support or opprobrium as appropriate to know whether to place the bets or not

i must say, premier league golden boot is a really fun market this year. 4 places e/w and lots of candidates at prices for the places

Very much agreed.

Gonna throw another one in the mix.....Carroll. Had a good end to last season. New stadium and saw something about Bilic wanting to entertain all the fans this year (he's obv gonna say this though). Being fed by Payet. Injuries a concern. A fit and playing Carroll can notch 20 goals a season IMO. He's massive at Unibets 100s, as low as 28s elsewhere, most are 66/1.

Touching on from Chelsea at 13/2 for the title yesterday, if we expect them to have a good season (sadly I do), then Costa should be in amongst the goals. As little as 12s with some firms but choral have him at 20/1. Looks like the rumours of a departure have subsided along with his injury troubles too.

Despite him being a twat, a fit and hungry Costa in a strong Chelsea team will bag goals.....when he isn't suspended Wink

fwiw the double of Chelsea/Costa is 66/1 with bald. Eurgh, feel I need a shower now.

It pains me to say it but I think Chelsea look really big at 13/2 for the title.

I think they are going to be very tough to beat under Conte (look how well drilled Italy were under him). Players like Hazard, Matic, Fabregas, Costa who all had an average/bad season under Jose should come bouncing back.

The big advantage is gonna be no European football. Being able to play Saturday/Sunday, have the players in training all week to go again the following weekend whilst all their rivals jet off to various parts of Europe in midweek is a huge plus. Similar to Leicester last season, they should be able to field their best possible XI most weeks and only rota through choice/form and not necessity.

Pretty pleased with our dealings so far this window. A couple of moves have dragged on but they can be complicated things to iron out.

The average age of the squad was a concern last season so its good to see this being addressed. Pep getting in the kind of flexible forward thinking players he wants and trusts is important, players that should fit in the group and squad nicely.

Pretty relaxed about the whole Stones (and defensive generally) situation. As much as I liked Pellers, too often our defence had little protection from further up the pitch. Pep is a master tactician and can't see him hanging our back line out to dry. Getting and keeping Kompany fit will of course be key. Expecting to see a 3 at the back formation in some games this season and hope to concede less than the 41 we shipped last year (which was only 6 more than the best record despite the frequent accusations that we can't defend!).

Exciting times indeed.

I don't think we could even give Bony and Kolarov away.

Squad is shaping up nicely, roll on Sunderland Smiley

We're always shit hot after changing managers. Unlucky :-)

I'll take a 3-3 draw......again.

lol double win.

Not only did my local Spar still have a copy (Sainsburys didn't) but I gave the shop assistant a £20 note plus 5p for the paper and a bottle of coke totalling £3.05. I could see him trying to figure it out in his head, and for some explicable reason about 30 seconds later he gave me £21.90 in change Smiley My most profitable night in weeks.

What do I do, Tikay? Wink

And I just ran out to try and get a copy and came up empty handed. Then heading home dejectedly, a torrential downpour opened up. Probably at the exact moment he handed you the wrong change.
Cheers!

haha bad times.

Cheers to Sonour for the timely reminder.

Looking for general flight booking strat from the gurus, I'm going to a wedding in Toronto next August, what time of year should I be looking to book to get the best deal? As soon as they are released or hold off for sales, offers etc.

Cheers Smiley

I'd certainly be looking as soon as the flights are released around September. Air Transat do cheap returns from Manchester and Gatwick. WestJet also an option along with BA/CA etc.

I think if you can get a decent deal early doors then lock it up and avoid having to gamble on sale fares. Having said that, BA usually do a decent sale in November so if you've not seen anything worthwhile before then.....
