Thinking of cancelling my Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia trip.

What does everyone think?

Welcome back.

Thank you Smiley

I woulda posted about this whole UEFA shite much earlier but been on holiday. City sound very bullish about it all, will have the worlds best lawyers on the case, and imagine how many skeletons there are in UEFAs closet....

From what I understand the club are very well prepared for this, and to paraphrase the chairman, lets spend £50m suing UEFA for the next 10 years.

Just spent the last 2 and a half weeks in the Philippines (landed back this morning), everything was fine.

I'd say to anyone with trips to Asia on the horizon to crack on and enjoy it, take advantage of fewer tourists with the Chinese essentially currently unable to travel.

Had a 100m stretch of beach in Boracay all to myself most days, absolute bliss.

City are gonna take UEFA to the legal cleaners, and it's gonna be a joy to behold.

I got his 'gag' but would like to know what man u fans are wanting out of the season hence my questions.

Obviously buying a striker to keep us scoring seems attractive, but Leicester play to Vardy’s strengths and I’m not sure we can adjust to suit him quickly enough to make it worthwhile. Even if Brendan would be at all willing to let him go.

I’ve been a fan for 50+ years so short term results are less important to me than seeing a team which has a core of home grown players in it. Over 4000 games across 73 years our match day squad has included at least one academy graduate. Rashford burst onto the scene as a result of Martial injuring himself in the warm up and the Rashford story began.
Time for Greenwood to take his chance as a starter maybe.

I can’t see the club opting to tank the season, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing to happen if it did. As an eternal optimist I still have hopes of a Europa win and CL football next year. Yeah, I know, but...

Fans only care about this homegrown soppiness when they ain't winning anything.
We were the same with SWP when we were shite.

When you're winning trophies and successful, you really don't care if they are from Stockport or Sudan.

Hogwash.

Besides SWP wasn’t homegrown.

No he wasn't. We only picked him up cos Forest deemed him to be too small. Their loss was our gain.

Ultimately, why would anyone really care where Player X got their football education?
There are no real tangible benefits once you've crossed the white line.

This whole 'united have had an academy player in the squad for 8 million games in a row' stuff is obv something you're proud of, but if you were running away with the league like Liverpool are, or City were 2 years ago, I bet you wouldn't even be batting an eyelid at that stat.

I guess when you've got an utter laughing stock of a manager and squad, you'll cling onto anything that takes your attention off the guff being served up on the pitch.

I guess the bitterness of having been the joke yourself for so long never really goes away.

Yeah we were a joke for many many years, but at least we knew we were a joke.

united fans can be in as much denial as they like, but the joke is now them.
Joke manager
Joke owners
Joke players

Now its your turn so embrace it like we did, don't deny it. You'd look very silly indeed if you tried to deny it.

Mind the gap.

Can’t hide from the reality of our current and recent position. Since SAF retired we’ve only won one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Europa League. Joke. Dropped as low as 7th in the PL too. Joke.
Recruitment policy in the Woodward era? Joke.

None of them are as good a joke as 7 managers in less than 10 years though. Nor as funny as time spent in Division Three.

Can we get to be that amusing? Maybe, but it feels very unlikely.

Division 3? The 1960's called, they want their decade back.

Is it still 2 points for a win?

Mind the gap.

That's why I had to stop once I got to about 10 years old Grin

That was the last time i had a game i think about 10 when i had to cheat and move a piece when i was heads up with my younger brother in the junior school chess final when he went to the toilet.   I knew then i wasn't very good at it and have never played since!

Mike Postle likes this.

That $500 freezeout event on 15th June has landed perfectly, feel like I've moaned it in!

I might finally lose my WSOP virginity.

Anyone got any success stories of staying in the lead in room type at Cosmopolitan and getting bumped to a terrace room with a little bribe at check in?

Would think you'll struggle going from a City to a terrace with a $50 chucked at check-in, but if you're only there one or two nights maybe?

That's the trouble with us, we're always there so much longer, and it's harder for them to juggle things without going through channels.

Gonna stay there instead of Venetian, 5 nights Sunday to Friday in June.
Reading some success stories online of people getting bumped up to a terrace room from a City room for as little as $20, but (as always) very much the luck of the draw on who checks you in.

Half tempted to pay the extra for the terrace room but I fancy a gamble and I'm fucking skint  Cheesy

Edit; we're booking the lead in terrace room. Still gonna try the sandwich though Smiley

Booking a Studio 2 queen?

You might have better luck on those dates, as it's not over a weekend.

I'd pony up $50 and ask for a Boulevard Tower FV room, and failing that any FV room over the 25th Floor.

I love Palazzo, but Cosmo is my favourite resort on the strip other than Wynn.

Block 16 food court is really good. Love the wing special at Pok Pok Wing.

Booked a king studio terrace (we'll have to do rock paper scissors for the sofa bed if we can't get bumped at check in to 2x queen terrace!)

Really enjoyed Venetian when I stayed there last year but the appeal of chilling on the sofa on the terrace with a few beers in the June heat was too hard to resist, esp for the price.

Plus I like to stay in new hotels when possible, and this will be another one to tick off the list.

This is a tad frustrating.

I go 5 nights 14th to 19th June, and although it was never with the WSOP schedule in mind, I did kinda hope there might be the option that something juicy and not too expensive could fall in those dates, should I fancy a punt.

As it stands I arrive just after Monster Stack starts, and depart the day the Double Stack event starts. Marv.
But the Ladies and Senior events both fall in my window, of which I am neither (even though its pretty cold, I still don't think I qualify as a woman, just)

Ah well, looks like the plan will remain the bars watching Euro 2020 during the day then playing $1/$3 absolutely steaming on an evening.
