Is it just me or are the Spanish players getting involved with something which they shouldn’t here? These guys are getting paid 100K+ to play football. I think they should play football where the club needs them to play.

I personally think Insurance companies are the biggest Fraudsters of all time.

The reason are insurance is so high as they need to provide greater ROI for there shareholders.

If it was impossible to commit fraud, our insurance will still go up each year.

SPT Brighton Day 1A

Arrived an hour before kick off. Signed up to the casino for the free bets and drInks and 10% off. Was really impressed with the space of he card room and the high ceiling. Made me feel like it was 14 years ago and I was playing in a YUGIOH regional championship.

SPT USP is the friendliest poker tour in the UK and based on my table and the atmosphere before and during the break I can 100% agree with this. Dealers are excellent also.

First 3 levels was steady. Climbing from 25k up to 30k. Very swingy though. Won a decent pot, lost a decent pot rinse and repeat. Table started off as a good one. Changed at the start of level 3 with a few good players joining the action. Folded the second nuts twice on the river and was shown the nuts 🥜. Lost 11k so down to 19k.

Blinds 150/300. Open with AhJS and bet 3 bet to 2k from the button. I picked up a solid live tell that he was weak and made the call. (Should have 4 bet.. big mistake on my part)  flop Q high all hearts. We check and he fires a C bet of 2.5k immediately. I call. Turn is an off suit 5. I decided to lead here 60% of pot to 5.5k with the veiw of shoving river regardless of what comes as I block the nuts and have all the strong ha dis in my range. He dwells and then calls. Blank on the river. I pause for a few seconds before announcing all in. He goes into the tank for 5 mins and is thinking it through outloud. Hmm I think you are bluffing but you could be bluffing with the best hand. 5 mins later he makes the call and shows 54 offsuit to take it down.

Off to the bars in Brighton we go. Will play again today as the 50k guarantee is nearly hit after one day. I can see this getting 80-90k which is awesome value for a 220 I think.

Not to self. Don’t bluff random regs who you don’t know. Just value bet for max value.

I think play up to the river is fine. I probably check calll river sometimes with a read, check fold to a large bet with a read.

Check call with a Dimond and check fold without. Unless of course the Villian is tight. Fun player check calling can’t be that out long term.

😂 I didn’t read it fully, normally insurance companies pay out in the invent of fraud.

Why would I justify his or any fraud?

I just don’t understand how they expect him to pay the bills.

My views on VAT and insurance companies I’ll keep to myself.

Guess the guy will end up on the streets. Tough to get a job as a convicted fraudster. He can’t even make a living playing cards. No chance to reform.

Glad that the insurance companies will get back some of the cash.

Thanks Tikay.

No problem at all. Be good to meet him. Hopefully he has had a good Trip to Russia.

See you Saturday.

1) Trolling
2) Aggravatingly smug
3) Delusional
4) A mixture of #2 & #3

Examples?

Because I never troll anyone- Isn't this something you do online to people?
Smug- Never been called this before, So I can only assume it was taken the wrong way.
Delusional- I can agree with this- I tend to be on my own level of thinking most of the time. I'm either crazy or a genius. Probably crazy.

Point being, I never mean any harm to anyone and I simply didn't deserve all the negative comments that was thrown my way.

Its in the past now, we have all played 1000's of hands since then and I'm sure everyone has forgotten how some kid played in a game.

Good luck to you at the tables- Hope you ran above EV.

Unfortunately so- next comp I play will be the Sky 220 in Brighton. Fancy a couple of weeks off as I’m feeling mentally shattered.

Look forward to catching up with you Tikay then. Are you playing?

Still waiting on the funds for two of the backers.

Regrettably the dream is over in level 14.

Level 8 started really well turning  my stack from 275k to 525k. Key hand was with 63HH vs 77 on a 754 flop with two hearts we fade the house draw.

Then 3 key hands followed. KK vs AQ all in pre for 160k total pot. A on the flop. Very next hand AQ vs AJ all in pre for a 80K pot. J99 flop and no help for me. Followed up with AQ v 1010 two hands later for another 80k pot.

I then turned my 1010 into a bluff on a K28 two dimonds. I open pre flop and call the three bet in the small blind. He leads for 70% pot and I make it  3.5 times his bet. He tanks for 5 mins before shoving all in. We fold. Pretty sure I played this terribly.

Start of level 12 with 35bb. Plenty I thought.

Started well up to 50bb when my A8DD holds vs 75DD on a two diamond board.

Open folded to 3 bets 4 times in a row. Before losing a sizeable pot which I honestly can’t tell you what happened.

Level 14. I have around 20bb still plenty. I open UTG with AK off, folds round to the BB who jams. He has junks and has been doing this often. I beat him into the pot. Classic flip, well preflight at least. He had QQ. Flop Q66....

Sorry guys. I think I played as well as in could today. Just wasn’t to be.
