Good Evening All,

I'm going to play the deep stack at DTD this weekend. 250K prize pool with a £550 Buy in.

I have included my Hendon mob results below, but this doesn't tell the full story of what you would be buying into. The last 2 months I have played 8 Live tournaments at my local casino making 6 final tables in fields ranging on average of around 95 unique entries. Winning the GPS side event in Luton for the best part of 4K. I have put in a lot of work recently on my game, table image and ability to adjust to most playing styles. I played in the side events in the Party Poker Grand finale, and felt really comfortable playing at that level, albeit I run into sets and rivered flushes throughout day 1 and fell in the last level of the 1K and 2.7 buy in's.

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=237639

I expect the first 6 levels of play like a cash game would, and again I'm up over 4000 big blinds this month alone in cash. Playing locally in Luton as well as in London at Aspires Stratford.

I'm looking to sell 35% of two bullets at spot with buy-ins totalling £1100. Refunds will be given if the second bullet is not required.

Lowest stake available at 2.5%.

2.5% for £27.5
5% for £55
10% for £110
20% for £220
35% for £385

I will be playing the event this coming Saturday with in the 12pm flight, and will be playing regardless of selling out.

Thank you for your interests.

Any questions please let me know- I can PM Bank details upon request.

Having a couple of days to reflect I can comfortably say that I got this reaction solely because I won big over the two sessions. I straddled, gave more action than any other player on the table, never berated players or got moody when I lost a pot. Got involved in some of the banter. The first night, one of the most talkative players (and now internationally known) was playing and didn’t stop trash talking all night was playing. Difference was he was down 3/4 buy ins and I was up about that much.

I play the game in a rather unique way and adjust constantly when in pots with different types of players.

One comment I got from a reg was I sheared the sheep too quickly and that was annoying...

The same reg told me he has been winning around 300BB per session. However he booked a loss over the two nights I played and I stacked him once.

I’ll just stay away from private games and just play cash when I bust out of comps or later in the evening if I bag up to day 2.

If you're trying to talk any type of poker strategy at any point that's probably the problem, got to be one of the worst topics at a poker table. Almost always divisive, alienates people and can put others on the defensive or make them feel stupid, nothing good can come out of it. Much better to talk about things that people have an opinion on but not one that will create problems, especially if its something they can take the piss about a bit. My first concert was a steps gig for example and I can still remember most of the words to their more popular songs :p

I think that’s where I went wrong. I enjoy talking about poker, discussion strategies and that type of stuff. Again I never brerate anyone or ask the question “why did you do/not do that” But engaged with a guy who called me bluff on the river and the guy correctly called after tanking with the second nuts in PLO. Went something like “man I really thought you as it” I reply “I thought you had a middle set and could get you off it on the river. Good call.

So I will just resist the urge to engage in poker chat. But I generally feel rude by ignoring them or giving them one lines like nice hand.

You two guys both coming to SPT Brighton then?

Sure am. Looking forward to something a little different. I enjoyed the sky events up at DTD a couple of years back. So looking at enjoying these too.

Yeah I get that now. I would talk about hands I was involved in. Win or lose. But only after a question was fired my way.... I think this is what I may have done that pissed off players. Again I just wasn’t aware it was pissing them off until I get abuse the next day on WhatsApp.

Like I said. Head down, play my game. Win/lose/draw.

Just a shame as I like the social aspect of the game. Might need to take up another hobby.

Look forward to meeting you in Brighton Marky. First drink on me.

It's got very like this in my neck of the woods, most of the games organised via whatsapp etc.

You need to be involved in the banter, not scream when you get a bad beat and play long enough hours when winning to give losers a chance to 'get out of it'. Most importantly, you HAVE  to give action. Nits are not welcome in 90% of these type of games.

Yeah this a whatsapp game. Played over 5 hours both nights. Gave tons of action. Got lucky when hitting flops . Tried to get In on the banter and got told my banter is so bad! 😂😂

If you weren't allowed back after one game then you must have been very objectionable :-)

If it was more games than this then I think you must have lacked the self awareness to appreciate how others (who could stop you playing) were viewing you.

Either way, with regret, I have to inform you it was probably your fault but might prove to be a good learning experience

Thin brags too Smiley

Absolutely with no doubt it must have been something I was doing wrong Smiley

All for experiences, live and learn.

From now on I’ll just zone out to music and chill out and just keep myself to myself.

Or you could speak to people, be everyone's mate and try to get into more games where you can make money repeatedly, while enjoying yourself too.

I think this is what got me in trouble. Trying to be friendly and talk poker after hands. For example if they ask me what i have I’d tell them, they would say I had x and how lucky I was.

Maybe, but I was never berating players or not being friendly. If I had lost and was saying the same things then I would have been welcomed back everyday of the week. Haters gunna hate.
