Theresa May is a just horrible though, and she's miles out of her depth as a politician.
Even the loyalist tories on her gotta admit she got a pretty serious schooling during the last 6 weeks.
Very true. She's been awful. Tories desperate for a leader that is a communicator who understands real people. Some charisma would be helpful too. Who do you think would be the best option for the Conservatives, Rick? I don't follow closely enough to really know any of them, as almost all my poliltical info is derived from here. Hammond seems a safe pair of hands First time anyones said that this week

Hes far too posh and lacks social awareness of just how posh he comes across, would be a landslide. No more posh than Dave C but far smarter imo and a brexit supporter. "I gradually realised that whatever I happened to be speaking about, the number of voters in my favour dropped as soon as I opened my mouth."

Hes far too posh and lacks social awareness of just how posh he comes across, would be a landslide. Incred- At the 1997 general election, Rees-Mogg was the Tory candidate for the solidly Labour seat of Central Fife and attracted ridicule after canvassing a largely working-class neighbourhood with his former nanny;[8] on election night he came third, gaining 9% of the votes cast,[11] slightly fewer than half of the votes won by the previous Conservative candidate in 1992. However, rumours that he had toured the constituency in a Bentley were described as "scurrilous" − he insisted it had been a Mercedes.

Ive no idea of Ruth Davisons qualities other than seeming like a regular person when interviewed, and she would be the step forward the tories need to continue to make them a modern party, be a bit strange after the DUP links tho. Didnt tighty once suggest milliband for labour wouldnt require a seat. I can think of an easy bielection they could gift her.
Boris' popularity ends with roles like mayor where its limited power. The average voter will always see him as ridic posh and older voters wont tolerate a buffoon, all joking about theresa mays campaign aside.

The Leavers bojo, fallon, davis know shes probably the last chance for the one policy keeping them anywhere near government, and the remainers dont want to touch brexit with a bargepole.

The education level part is probably skewed by older voters not going to uni in the same percentages as the young.
Correct and has been pointed out on here many times before many people shift from left to right as they get older start to earn a few quid and realise the value of money and the importance of not pissing it away on a utopia..... It probably is, they probably did useless degrees that required you to be able to interpret graphs or something. Just as likely that tory bias kicks in at 50 because they are an age group with more limited social media usage and still watch news/read newspapers like its 1984.....

Plenty of people on here that obviously have an abundance of spare time, based on time spent on the thread, and obviously have very strong views, and think you have all the answers. Makes sense that at least some of you put your money where your mouth is and offer yourselves up as local politicians! Because being a tory is like masturbating, you do it on safe internet sites not in public, and once in a while in a private booth.

The DUP seem very dated and its sad that NI are still voting down these lines of religion with what seems little choice of parties than before. I think they have some similar held views to a section of the tory party and concerning they bring this kind of stuff to the front, when cameron, osborne etc had really brought the tory party forward. They have every right to form a government together. directly or indirectly, they were democratically elected and dictating to NI that we think their representatives are unworthy, or worse worthy of derision doesnt help with NI tensions either.
Id like May to regain a semblance of respect and say they will use them to get us into a position where the country can continue on a steady footing in preparation for elections in october. Then quit.

Its politics. Get over it. Wont last long anyway. No its terror. The UDA are a proscribed organisation. Are you saying it's ok for the Tories to cosy up to terrorism but nobody else can have relationships with other organisations? I mean Mrs May can have her links to the Saudis and the DUP can team up with the UDA and UVF. It's absolutely disgusting. My personal preference would be for a Mortar attack at Downing St that is more successful than the last one when all the pals are sitting around the table. You're ok with Sinn Fein - they are the good guys right? No links to terrorists there. The double standards are from you pal. Well if you blast corbyn all the way through election then let the DUP give you a majority, you are playing sides whether you intend to our not. You are calling Sinn Feins history intolerable and DUPs worthy of casting vote.
