How has this not had more coverage? Absolutely disgusting comment from a Labour Peer, I feel if this was from a Con member it would of been everywhere.

"Had that been a block full of white people, they’d have done everything to get them out as fast as possible and make sure that they did what they needed to do," she said, in an interview with Channel 4 News last week.

Such a relief.

I only skim read the other thread, but thought "who the f calls their kid Zeus?"!!

That would be a chap named Kronos, who made a habit of swallowing his children when they were born.

He did worse than that, to be fair it was a bit of a dis-functional family in general. More in-breeding than the Isle of Wight !

I do find it very interesting to go through the findings and discussions of such meetings on https://www.parliament.uk/business/news/ just had a quick look and your on there a few times.

That is interesting. There's stuff on there I'd forgotten all about.

I was somewhat irate when I wrote this.

[Written evidence submitted by Tom McCready (HPB 77)

To whom it may concern.

To my absolute astonishment I have been made aware that the Government intend to remove the specific Gypsy and Traveller accommodation assessments from the Housing and Planning Bill.

The very fact that specific Gypsy and Traveller accommodation assessments exist at all is testament to their importance. They did not come about on a whim, we fought long and hard for them and they were put in place because right minded people understood that they are an absolute necessity.

Without specific accommodation assessments, local authorities will be at liberty to ignore the needs of Gypsies, Irish Travellers and Show people and there will be even less site provision than there is now. We've been there before so the consequences should be obvious.

Less site provision means more unauthorised camping, more difficulty in accessing health care and education, more stress related illnesses, more broken homes and more misery for the nations most persecuted people.

People will be forced to either break the law or move into totally unsuitable bricks and mortar accommodation.

Removing specific accommodation needs assessments for these ethnic minorities will not make the need go away.

I did see that one but thought I would leave it to you to share or others to read.

looking forward to your write-up of your visit to Westminster, what was the atmosphere like there yesterday?  was it all hushed tones and somber or did you have people openly chatting their approval / disaproval of Messrs Johnson or Corbybn ?

Similar for the bridge inside castle mall shopping centre
I’ve never been in to see it in it’s glory
It was a hole in the ground

Thanks Tony.

We never went in the Shopping Centres, we tend to avoid them in favour or exciting stuff such as castles (Norwich), prisons (Exeter), and of course Airports.

We spent as few hours at Heathrow last week & I took a bunch of photos of incoming aircraft. If anyone would like to see them you only have to ask. I've got loads of them.

I spent a great deal of my childhood at airports, as my father is a keen plane spotter. I always remember the observation deck at Gatwick before they closed it down. As kids we would have a football or radio controlled car on the top level of Heathrow carpark over looking the runway and we would be one of the only people up there with a picnic.

Every year we still book him the executive suite at the Renaissance https://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-rooms/lhrbr-renaissance-london-heathrow-hotel/  he sits watching planes and mum reads a book.

Trump, answering questions, says "it was a terrible accident, we will speak to her shortly & see if we can do something".

Meanwhile, in his pocket, & spotted by journos, were these briefing clearly saying she would NOT return.

But in fairness wouldn't you want to be told in person by someone closer to home rather than seeing on a press conference from POTUS ?  as the notes say they told Raab but he hadnt made a statement before this.

What a lying piece of shite he is.

It was bang in my era though. I was buying car components for export at the time and my days were spent searing around breakers yards looking for various bits from one or other model. They were usually piled 5 high, often with loads of bits missing so being able to identify them was key.

Breakers yards as we knew them don't exist any more. It's all about pollution, health & safety etc. Mind you, the yards I went into were sodden with old engine oil and battery acid.

I can't imagine people being allowed to stroll around with their tool box, climbing up piles of precariously balanced cars to screw bits off these days can you? It used to happen though, and I can only remember a few dozen being killed or maimed.

still one near me, always good to find the little bits you need rather than going full price. They are trying to minimize people in the yard with a shop but i love still being able to strip the part i need.

Anyhooo, here's a question for you. I've been wrestling with this one for years and can't make any real progress.

If there is anything that I do regularly, be it cook my breakfast, fit a plug, change a gas bottle, sit in a cafe or whatever, I always try to figure out the best or most advantageous way of doing it.

I work on the principle that if you think about something for long enough, you will eventually find a way of doing it better.

So here's the thing. When I walk into a public toilet, (To poop not to pee) and there are three or more cubicles, assuming they are all empty and seem to be of the same level of cleanliness, which one should I use?

It's no use saying it doesn't matter because I still have to choose one. Here are my thoughts so far.

Nearest the entrance, slightly less distance to walk.

Furthest from the entrance, slightly less chance of someone trying the door.

Middle, if some maniac jams the door and then tries to climb in from the next cubicle I can always escape in the opposite direction.

Urinals are easy, its the one best hidden from the outside but cubicles have me baffled.

One furthest from door as most likely to be clean, any cleaner will work from outside in so prob cleaned most often. Also if breaking your neck youll just use the closest so that one will be occupied most often and cleaned least.
