Been a while since I posted on here about our gym, but 3 of our lifters are away at the Commonwealth Youth Games on Australias Gold Coast.

2 have lifted so far and both have managed medals Bronze and Silver.  Jason who has left our club snatched 120kg and C&J 145k got Silver.  Emily got bronze and despite bing out for the best part of the year injured Danny lifts tonight.  Hoping for PB's a medal would be awesome.

Talking through my pocket but I thought Frankie was terrible on the fav today.  Should have given her a couple of cracks when she started going left.

Has the going change made a difference to the selections Trigg?

I backed Mirage Dancer in the Great Voltigeur, there is lots to like about it.

Oioi Percy's princess Smiley £70 to the fund already

Had a cheeky £10 trixie of my own

Peach Melba (Vicks old nickname won 9/4)
Percy's princess won 9/1
Costa Percy still to run 😂

Everything crossed I'm waiting on Costa for a few bob myself.

I was against Melba having backed it last 4 times.  Even in winning last couple it seems somewhat ungenuine to me today was her best performance of the lot.

Good start for the Hosie funds.  I switched and done my dough on a monkey.

Here is hoping for a decent rund from Whippahound.

Had to back tinker tailor in the 2.30 on the back of its maiden form
It's very very strong form for only a mark of 72

Not the worse race to run and given a fairly easy time.  The winner was well backed but never looked easy.  SDS at his best.

That means that once a fortnight  in each LBO someone loses a thousand.

Is that really so shocking?

Lee

No, but I think the point is those numbers are based on those mahcines only.  I could be wrong.  But when I'm in the bookies it's normally the poorest people doing chunks in these machines, tey genuninley believe they have a chance of winning.

If someone is losing a bag in a single session, they aint the poorest....they may be afterwards however......

I'm not same the poorest people are the ones losing a bag a session and I don't think the article is either.

There is no doubt though that the people who fair worse out of these machines are the poorest and les educated.  When they first hit the shots they were riddled with bugs and you used to be able to take advantage of them but that is no longer the case.

Plus more games have been added over the years to cater for more gamblers.
