Gotta love these updates.
I bet you’re happy when it gets around to BigO.
Loved this event back in19.
Hurry back, I’m hooked.

Hi Tony,
No I didn’t get on the site, after we discussed the matter I stopped trying. I did speak to live chat one day early on the trip but once we had found out no one could get on the site I did not give it another thought.
How is the Jet Lag coming along? My first day back and here I am typing at 1.35 am which is really 5.35pm for me. Sadly, I could not stay awake earlier but am alert now.

Hi Tony,
I am finally back home in the UK.
Sorry to post this here, not sure what else I can do. My account next door has been  suspended, any idea why or how it can be sorted out?
Apologies again for using your diary here.

Ah, ok.
I was hoping you might be around tomorrow and fancied a trip up to that mountain, with all the nice scenery and nature you have posted about.
I hope you have a safe journey home, I’m here until next Friday, will probably play a couple more of those 6pm PLO8 tournaments at the Orleans.
If truth be known I’m ready to go home, I’m actually sat in my hotel room watching the Yankees v the Red Sox from London dreaming of a nice cup of tea, god the Americans just cannot produce a cup of tea worth a damn.
Thank you and all next door for helping me live the dream.
See you in Brighton.

Hi Tony,
How much longer are you in Vegas for?

I’m out, after battling a short stack for two levels I got up to 26k and in big0 I got it all in with .
I hit my straight with the on the river but that sadly gave my opponent his flush and it was goodnight from me some thirty something short of the money. Fabulous day and a half, I felt much more at ease, think I put too much pressure on myself in the earlier plo8 tournament.
As Tony said, thanks again for all the advice, much appreciated.
Will I ever get to come back to Vegas? Not sure, but I do love live poker and the four card game is, as they say, the nuts.

Firstly I would like to thank all of you who  have shown interest and given some advice. You don’t know me, so for you to take the time and bother to post is much appreciated. I don’t have anybody I can talk Poker to, so it’s invaluable to me. $1500 is a lot of money to anyone, I am lucky enough to be able to afford it at this time, but I didn’t get to this stage by not being frugal. I will sleep on it and make a decision about playing tomorrow.
It was a different Scottish gent than the one put forward though.

Must say that I am having to deal with all sorts of feelings after yesterday.
I don’t think I made too many mistakes, just amazed at the amount of people playing any four and hitting boards.
A Scottish gent sat next to me played the way I would expect and reaped the benefits against the the table gambler, he had a very nice stack when I ended my stay at the table by standing on Mr Negreanu’s phone that he had left on the floor.
I am left wondering whether I am just fooling myself, throwing away good money by playing. I wanted to play tomorrow’s PLO8 mix, but, at $1500 is it stupid to play a game that has limit and big o , that I have never played and just a third of the game at pot limit ,that I didn’t exactly set the world on fire with yesterday.

I am out, lost a three way pot on the river that crippled me, then, despite doubling up through Daniel Negreanu, my comeback faltered when my trip aces lost to a chap holding 9 10 for a straight. The river four also counterfeiting my low.
Enjoyed it in the end, but I was stupidly nervous for the first two hours, not that I had any cards to play, having said that, any four cards seemed to be the motto of quite a few players today.

Unlucky again Tony,
Tomorrow is indeed the big one. $1500 buy in and  my WSOP debut.
Really looking forward to it. I hope you get a nice little payback in the form of some run good of your own. I’ve got to say I am a little nervous going in, hoping not to get knocked out too early, I would love to make day two and maybe push on towards the money.

Unlucky Tony,
Not much you could do looking at the reports. One card away from 90k chips, that would have enabled you to have fun.
I have arrived back in Vegas, Uber tastic ride in this time. Pleasantly surprised with my accommodation at The LINQ.
Do you know how Essexphil did in the seniors event a week or so back?

My Baseball trip is done and I’m on my way back to Vegas. Should land around 4.50pm.
Looking forward to some more PLO8 madness this week.

Hi Tony,
Very best of luck today.
I have made it to Arlington Texas after my weekend in Cincinnati. The Rangers took two of three against a poor Reds team. I actually stayed in Covington, Kentucky just over the Ohio river. Walked over the Robling bridge to and from the Great American Ballpark all three days of the weekend.
The bridge is the forerunner of the Brooklyn Bridge , if I was tech savvy, I would post some pictures to get you all excited. We had amazing Thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday, I had several severe weather warnings on my phone for flash floods over both days. The weather meant I couldn’t get everything done I wanted to, but did manage a trip up and down the river on the paddle steamer Cincinnati Belle.
Cincinnati is a beautiful place, wish I had stayed a couple of extra days .
Staying in a bit of a dump in Texas, mind you, after the Palazzo everything is going to look bad. It’s 1.20pm here, going to take a nap, was up at 4am for the flight this morning, before my first ever game at Globe Life Park. We host the Cleveland Indians tonight , first pitch at 7.05pm local.
I have loads of photos you might like, need to learn how to upload them for here and next door in the future.
