As a long suffering Jets fan, without the in depth knowledge of the NFL some of you guys have, I wondered if anyone would be prepared to say, which, of the seemingly vast number of quaterbacks that will be available, either through the draft or free agency, they would be better off getting?.
I know we need an edge rusher, corner back x2, a running back, and offensive line help as well, But A franchise QB is something I have not seen in green. Cousins will be expensive and I am unsure if he would choose the Jest over the Vikings, So do we try and pinch Bridgewater and draft either Mayfield or Allen if they are still on the board come the sixth pick?
What do you guys think?
Nick

Twitter is a mixed bag though, & can be the absolute pits, so here's a feel-bad story.

Please note, contains offensive language

Like all commercial organisations, SB&G, & specifically in this case, Sky Poker, use Twitter to promote their brand.

In fact, SB&G - like all it's competitor businesses - have a whole department devoted to Social-Media. Lots & lots of staff. I'm not entirely convinced it can be justified, but as long as the others do it, they do it. It's no big deal either way, is it?

There's rarely anything there to arouse one's excitement. This is no disrespect to my colleagues, but essentially, they are adverts, & nobody likes adverts.

Here's a typical Sky Poker Tweet during SPT Brighton.

ELIMINATED!

tomkittendeans busts @ SenseiChanning and wins his golden bounty prize, an iPhone 7.

The context is that the "Team" - Mr Ambo, plus 4 of the Leeds based Sky Poker Staff, plus me, played SPT Brighton, & we all had "bounties" on our heads for whoever busted us, plus we each had a few hundred quids worth of spot prizes which we gave out for "fun play" or whatever.  In my case it was a £700 TV. Not life-changing, but it's handy enough for free.

Nothing to get exercised about there, one might think. I'm actually surprised anyone even looks at these photos to be honest.

And here are 3 of the comments (Tweeted replies) it attracted;

he's the boy sexy ***** what a bossss

Ffs sky not even a new iPhone , shitttttttt fuck

What a shit prize

I drove home from Brighton thinking about the people who made those Tweets, trying to imagine what their like is like, when they spend their Saturday evening's posting stuff like that. I mean, it was hardly controversial stuff, was it? Migrants & their families are dying every day in refugee camps or on the high seas, there was an earthquake in Iran a few days ago which barely made the 'papers, (400 died, but they were only Iranians....), and throwing acid at random people is the latest craze.  And yet these lads get exercised over a photograph like that.

Don't we live in odd times?

Hi Tony,
I was sat on the same table when Sam lost his Bounty, I can tell you that the guy who knocked him out was very happy with his prize of an I-Pad.
The chap who knocked you out seemed to be pleased with his new television as well.
You may have to consider not playing QQ at the next SPT, you do not want to go for the hat trick do you

We can safely describe that utter bollox as "underwhelming", assuming we wish to be polite.

I take it he will not be making a guest appearance at SPT Brighton.

The dumbing down of sports presentation continues.

Before tonight's F1 GP in Austin, Texas, Michael Buffer - he of "let's get ready to rummmmmmmbleeeeee" - will announce ALL TWENTY drivers.

In 20th place, from Denmark, it's Kkkkkkevinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Magnusssssssssssennnnnnnnnnnnn

In 19th place, from Germany, it's Passsssssssssssssssscallllllllllllllll Wehrleinnnnnnnnnnnnnn

And so on. Twenty chuffing times.

I might just about be able to cope with Usain Bolt flagging the cars off for their formation lap, but once Buffer starts with his ridic stuff I'm gonna have to turn off.

God help us & save us from all this shite.

I misjudged this, apologies.

It is far worse than I suggested.

F1 just devalued itself.

Bring back Bernie.

I am really shocked and saddened at the death of Kevin Cadle.
I remember the great battles between Portsmouth and his Kingston teams.
Later on watching him on Sky Sports, I always thought he came across as a knowledgeable and fun loving presenter.
I wondered why he was missing from the coverage this year, I will miss seeing him on TV .
R.I.P

Hi Tony,
Just to let you know HMS Queen Elizabeth is due to " come home" to Portsmouth some time in October, all dependant on successful completion of sea trials and system checks.
The Navy have had to dredge the sea floor, to enable the ship to enter her home port, she is so big.
I can keep you informed of dates closer to the time , if you would like.

Thanks Nick.

If we are free we will certainly come down to have a look. It'll be a wonderful sight I fancy.

Not sure where the best viewing spots are though - any ideas?

It is bound to be extremely busy, all along the sea front, along the hot walls to the square tower and round tower. The Still and West pub ( magnificent Fish and chips served in paper ) will be packed but offer superb views. The Gosport side of the harbour, Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower will all be busy, but again will be great for viewing.
If you come by train just go to Portsmouth Harbour and everything is within walking distance. Also, If you enjoy your naval history, the dockyard is a great destination with plenty to see.
I can get any information / leaflets and forward to you if you would like.

Coming up to the completion of 8 levels.

Have barely seen a playable hand in the entire 4 hours.

It's all been unconnected, unsuited, unplayable, undesirable poo of the pooest possible pooey stuff.

On the bright side, you are still in,waiting to unleash hell.

A nice mixed four card game for you to continue your run of cashes.

Nicely done Tony,
Two cashes in quick succession. I was confident you would come good.
Out of interest are you an "all the trimmings" burger man or do you have a preference?
I am a bacon cheeseburger , no salad or relish , Ketchup on the side.
