An exceptional article in either the Daily Telegraph or Times today, about Stan Collymore.
We all hated him for the Ulrika stuff, but he paid his bill, & I like the fact that he seems to have tried to atone. Forgiveness should always be possible.
He's quite the thing at TalkSport now, & unless it's pure spin, he has his head in the right place now, too.
When you think back, he was quite a story. Southend & Barry Fry, Forest, Liverpool (BAD start there, when he got off on the wrong foot about playing out of position), England, & Villa, then, I think, a Spanish side for 5 minutes.
Two small facts missed from above... 1) He played for Stafford Rangers, where, FWIW, I watched him play and for all those who did watch him back in the day,we all saw his 'potential' then. 2) He was actually born in Stone, Staffordshire. A great little town in the heart of England which will also be the home town of a future WSOP champion* *may or may not happen Stone is also the home of Discharge and Charged GBH, what a town. Explain, please, Glenn? Stone Records was a small Punk Label started by Mike Stone, and these are a couple of their bands with members from around staffordshire ncluding Stone. Pretty much unlistenable to most Tony but I saw them loads of times at the 100 club and loved them - i was a pacifist/CND type in the late 70s and their lyrics (in Discharge's case -very focused on Anti War sentiments) seemed to fit the bill for me at the time

Souness was a great player and a terrible manager. As a pundit though, he's quite often on the ball (so to speak).
His assertion that the current Barca team are the "best club side ever" is one that can certainly be argued. There definitely aren't many better are there?
I think you can take the club bit out if that sentence. I can't remember an international team better than this Barca team. Basically they have all the key components of the WC/EC winning national team + the best the player in the world. As well as the best player, how many do they have of the worlds best 10 ? Quite a few. Ronaldo is possibly the only other player in the world who is near their kind of collective level. I would have enjoyed Bendtner spiking the last minute goal to take us through but it would also have been a travesty

There are two types of hand reports - reports of interesting hands (play through the streets, big bluffs/laydowns, clownish plays from eggs) then there's: Blah blah AK vs QQ blah blah QQ wins
The second type are zzzzzzzzzzzz and I couldn't care less about the details - all I want to know is who went out and how many chips the winner of the hand now has. As long as there's stuff like a Round with Tighty and posting photos of players looking like puppet rats then that's fine with me. I thought it was a great update. Very much this I read the updates rarely, and usually skim them if i am honest, but the TightyMouth combo was brilliant and I read all days from start to finish ..... will donate for this combo if possible Other updater I really enjoyed reading was JungleCats agree here jungle cat was an awesome updater Yah, but he is prob the funniest man in the world so he has a massive advanatge

Alex's exit he was quite unhappy with himself about.
Bharat Joshi raised under the gun, Ben Turnstill 3 bets and Alex in the bb with 200,000 and AK 4 bet jams
However he says he noticed a huge "strength" tell Bharat has a while back, and acted too quickly in jamming without considering this, a tell that was in place during this hand
Bharat had Kings, and after this hand and the Jim McBride exit must now be our chip leader
I think his strength tell is that he puts a chip over the line

Was looking forward to the European Deepstack at Luton but got there and decided against it. Only 60-odd regsitered. Was expecting 150+.
Had been planning on being in every hand for the first few levels versus random Skandies but the place was full of regs. Would only have donked off, so what's the point?
Thought to myself...£550 on this and sit there grinding it out for a 100k stack to go back with on Saturday, when I'd have to miss the Posh match, or £550 on Posh scoring 4 or more past Exeter at 5/1. That was the clincher.
Got 10% of Celtic though, which will give me a bit of interest for half an hour or so.
No disrespect to those who enjoy this sort of thing, but the idea of playing a monkey comp, with an hour clock and 500 bb's to start would be my candidate for poker's Room 101. I think you made a wise decision. Yep
