Wonder how many people reading this thread have had the pleasure of listening to one of Mr F's tunes:

"Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the floor
Let the bodies hit the fllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr"

Smashing, great, not 'arf !!

I thought I'd try a teen gross out movie too - the very beginning of the scene where he has his first piece of chest hair waxed had me curling up.

But back to deep stuff - coupla scenes in the godfather.

One where Brando lifts the cloth to see his dead boy Sonny riddled with bullets and does same great eyebrow twitching before delivering an immortal line.

Also, where at the meeting of the five families he talks about blaming someone in this room if an accident should befall Michael.

Or Goodfellas, "You think I'm funny, funny how ?"

Lock stock - "can everyone stop getting shot!"

Gangster genre has so many of these great moments I think

Faith no More - that's very cool to know someone from a great band Sark. I will live my life vicariously through you for 3 days I think. I'll say, I kinda know a guy online from a poker site who knows a fine rock star. Kudos to me I think.

Dave, I got my first tattoo top of my arm and only by walking around in a vest would it be seen. Took me about 7 days to go get another one that would peep out, very seductively in my opinion, from under the arm of a T shirt - have a fair few now and it's hard to explain to other people why one likes them so much. Don't think it's to with the kind of people I mix with but never met a lady who didn't like them on me too .. s'abonus. But, point is, I definitely want them to be seen.

I do think it is possible that tigs, you may walk aroound with your mouth open a lot for a few weeks until the novelty wears off. In my experience, and as a student of emotional intelligence, we all tend to want to be noticed for the thing we do for our 'personal' enjoyment - just takes a while to gain that self awareness I think.

The shell collector wants people to know he collects shells and have people form an opinion from the information, the train spotter.... and so on. Not many people who are true islands.

I think the tells thing just signifies that we over rate the ability to spot tells. It's also potentially a significant indicator of the power of hindsight and being able to see something once all the facts are available.

It's like now I can see that my wife gave me some tells that I read correctly since she and I our proud parents now, however, many other times I thought I saw those tells but was quickly disabused of the notion that me and the tellee were going to try to make babies.

A few come to mind:

Adam and the Ants 1979 to early 1980. Lyceum

Discharge - 100 Club

Killing Joke - Lyceum

Crass - Starlight Club, West Hampstead

Tuesdays at the 100 club, Sundays at the Lyceum - enjoyed those times.

Only ever saw one stadium type thing Guns n Roses supported by Soul Asylum, Blind Melon and the Cult at Milton Keynes - was a great event in many ways, not least for Blind Melon and Cult's one or two decent tunes. Guns n Roses were'nt too bad too.

A lot of bands I'd like to see today but of them only experiencing a big Korn concert is something I feel I have to do.

Bands you didn't see.... always wished I'd seen Nirvana and The Smiths in their pomp.

Trying to over anyalyse - yes I think so. All in the middle at the right time and got unlucky. Perhaps if both of you were very much deeper stacked then you could maybe find a rationale to wait for the river but I don't think so even then.
