Isn't it strange. I hadn't been on here for ages and came across this. Howdy all and thank you so much for the kind words. I have spent the last few years living a bit of life (oh and wrote a book) and have only played a couple of live tournaments. Then a few weeks ago I realised it was 10 years since the first time I qualified online for a trip to Vegas. Seemed like it might be time to try and mark the occasion. I loaded up my account with £20. I played the £4 satellite I lost I played another £4 satellite. I got through to the £18....... then I lost I played another £4 satellite. I got through to the £18..... then I got through to the £82 semi final.....then the cheek of it all, I went and came 6th when there were five seats for the final. There was money for coming sixth and I have to be honest, I have never won in excess of £200 with more anger. The bankroll now looks good however so I graduate myself to the £18....then the 82.......then the final...and would you know it whoop whoop Vegas Baby!!!!! So excited. Will probably start playing a bit of live before I go..... It's about to get very noisy

Snatiramas (sp?) is he OK?
TheDoc12345 ?
Snat was in rude good health last time I saw him in luton (coupla months ago perhaps), not around poker much these days, busy with business and life I think Hello all....alive and well in sunny Milton Keynes. Just been for a walk around coldecotte lake which we live 100 yds from. It is beautiful. Had a load of life stuff to sort out, seperated after 20 years of marriage, found a new partner, pukingly happy in other words so happy it would make you puke. Building my business which will pay for my retirement which I plan to start in 5 years time once the youngest child is in university and only I play poker once in a blue moon now. Still love the game and always will but wise enough to know that there is always a game. Thanks for asking Nakor and I hope this finds you well

Used a Windows machine all my life. Been using a Mac book pro for 5 months.....hate it because I just can't be bothered to relearn.
Basic differences are these. The world and his dog attack windows software with viruses. Nobody can be arsed to do that to a mac so much safer from virus. keyboard is much better on a Mac than anything else I have ever used. Apple want you to play in their "sandbox". Do it their way or they make it hard for you to do anything. Try and dump your songs from an iPod onto a new machine etc.
I want to be able to do whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want and I don't give a monkeys how pretty my inanimate pc looks. Go for the Samsung personally

Anyway. I think it comes down to why you play the game. For me the game will always be like a good night out at a restaurant. Some nights I might spend a few quid at Domino's. Some nights I spend a few hundred quid somewhere nice.
As for Paul Brown. His money, his life, his chips, his choice. I hope he wins it because it will irritate all those who think the only reason to play is to maximise a return. Maybe he just wanted to arrive as chipleader and has a suitable bankroll.
The return on the meals the following day was exactly the same.

Haven't heard much of the online chip daddy Paul Brown? Still a big stack?
Well yesterday he literally didnt play a hand for about 5 levels, then when he did he would limp in and check call. That's not a criticism of his play by the way, merely an observation. I think he didngt want to dent his stack too much and just cruise through to today. He took a couple of hits but is still patiently waitiing for premium hands. To get so many chips online I'm having to assume he must have been running like God in the weeks previous online qualifiers, or there is the possibility admin messed up and sent the qualifiying email to Paul in error?! He just isn't getting involved now. I spoke to him earlier when Tan Lee was chip leader and Paul said it was irrelevant at this stage who had all the chips, as long as he had them all in the last hand... I actually think this is where his investment is working against him. He has to make final table to recoup the money he spent he needs prob 5th at least to pay off the effort. So maybe he is playing a bit scared (wierd thought process I know). Is that tournament entries or net investment?

The final will be live streamed?
"Caroline for commentary" I hear you all cry.
That's a hint, people....
Lol I've already been asked, may well do a stint, perhaps we can have a phone in on the other hot topic here today- Feldman & Trickett - both as bad as each other? I thought it was a firm of dodgy solicitors
