Carl Froch
A warrior and a true champ. I don't think he got the Groves game plan wrong. But he did under estimate how good Groves was going to be #earlyrounds.
But over 12 rounds there was only Froch to win. Well done the Ref. The Froch attack was in the first minute of round 9 . The bell was not going to save Groves.
Froch showed you are not going to knock him out. Bute Taylor, Ward, Groves, Kessler, Direll all tried.
The problem for Carl is . For pride do I take on Ward. If you lose, the Groves rematch will not make the money. If I win does Carl make a big money fight in Vegas V Bernard Hopkins @ Light Heavy weight and then a final fight @ the City ground V Groves. #wishfullthinking
I'd love to see a IBF fight V Hopkins then Groves as a final fight in the UK
What ever happens British Boxing once again has come good.
Regards
M

tikay, where are those trip reports you did back in 2004/05 would love to re-read some of them
Presumably not so much for my incredible writing skills, as a sort of reminder of all the names & faces that were on the scene then...... I will try & look a few of them out this morning & send you links to them, Mr Blackpool GUKPT Man. PS - Did Ali Mallu play it? I still think back to that extraordinary incident with him at Blackpool, where he made the Final (sidey) on Day Two, but was refused permission to enter the building as he had been barred retrospectively for an "incident" in G-Bolton. Poor Danny Bell - "Yogi" as he was then, now @ DTD - had the thorny problem of what to do with his chips in play, & his Entry Fee. Think you may even have won the Final. Pretty sure I would have finished about 8th, as bloody per, I always did. i saw ali in blackpool tony so his ban was lifted seemingly. Nah i got about 6th. Mr Bradshaw won it that day, although it had felt like we all had won it when ali's massive stack was just taken off the table and we all jumped up a rung!I had mixed feelings about the whole thing, but yeah, it sure as hell made the Final an easier one to play. It must have been this one. Note the disqualified player was classified as 9th, so I laddered one spot...... http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=25943Here's Tikay's top 10 Cashes http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=333Regards M

Hi Tikay
I met Ken Morrison a number of times I thought he was ok.
However did you meet his side kick George Buttle? He was propper Northern Shite
I worked for Morrisons for around 6 years. They sacked me but I took them to court and won!
Regards
M
Ha! Yes, George was a right so & so. You were not alone in being sacked, they sacked folks on a whim, regularly. Real Victorian idealogy. The driver side rear-view mirror on my car got busted by some oaf yesterday, the glass bit fell out. What'll that cost to replace? £5? £7.50? You coming to the Grand Final next weekend? Be good to see you. You still on the diet thing? The wing mirror I guess. I will call you tomorrow. Can't be that much maybe £40ish I may do poker next week. As for the diet @ 15st. Cant seem to crack below that. Regards M

The title of this thread does not match 90% of the contents. Should the thread be renamed 'The pro's and cons of HUDs', and perhaps start a new thread regarding Robs recent blogs? I would comment on here but it will be lost in a sea of 'blah hud, blah tracker' stuff. I stopped reading half way.

They should have never aired this in public.
Genting Worldwide pls V a Gambler.
Genting Casino. There in control of the game and the environment.
So a judge asks
Who Supplied the cards, dealers, inspectors, management and security, Everything was down to the house it's private property and they took the chance to take him on.
What are they moaning about!
I really can't see how Genting will win this. They dropped the ball V the wrong punter.

Yo Sushi! is a bit.... meh. It's not awful, but it's not good sushi.
Heard that there is a decent place in Loughborough - so guess that might be it. I was recommended Higoi in Nottingham (in Lenton, not too far from DTD), and it was very good indeed. Would definitely recommend it.
Higio. 100% is the best place to eat Sushi. Love the place. 2 mins drive from DTD Regards M

I love the fact that Dtd keep putting these awesome comps on but the fact is if u do the same thing every week it just doesn't work:
Punters get bored They don't have money to keep pouring 50 quid after 50 quid into multiple days They don't have the time
They also know if they don't play this week they can play next week.
Love DTD but I think they need to perhaps look at doing these comps less frequently to avoid potential overlays
Hi G2L What would you suggest? Entry level, predicted number of runners and guaranteed prize pool to fill the place. Without doing your nuts in overlay! Regards M

Reading the rules @ DTD
I. Floor People- Floor people are to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision-making process. Unusual circumstances can on occasion dictate that decisions in the interest of fairness take priority over the technical rules. The floor person's decision is final.
I think the TD got it 100% right. I don't really think a 6K bet would of been called.
Matey got a 1 round penalty for not paying attention. So Vin got 1500 Chips off the guy. IF the guy thought 6000 Was the call he would of passed.
Some may not think FAIR but I do think best Interest for the game.
Make your bets clear and pay attention. We all can learn.

M
