When you read the posts on here you will find that there is a huge community spirit. It was felt a good idea to meet our fellow community members in the flesh, exchange pints and nice words and try to take each others money from them.

This may give you more information:

Just play your A game against these horrible players and you'll come out on top the majority of the time. Bad beats happen and we all have to deal with it.. it's how you deal with it that distinguishes you from the next player.

lol brian is one of these horrible players

Oh, well in that case there is no hope for you  Smiley

j/k

Easy fold.

If you call then your up against two opponents, who probably (based on their action) have better hands than you.  Or fold and hope the opponent with the shorter stack gets unlucky.

Patrick Antonius certainly did end the year with a bang but my vote would have to go to JP Kelly

If you stay in the States there are a lot of nice opportunities in Vegas  Grin

This looks like a classic situation where your opponent overplays his AK after weak flop.  If he had anything decent (overpair, trips, etc) he would have slowed down a bit.  Easy call.

Yesterday I had AA  3 times in 4 hands in the Ladbrokes $250 entry tournament.  I won 3 sets of blinds with standard raises.  Anyone have a better sequence of hands and get less action?!

thats INSANE!  I must say that I have never heard of that.  the odds of that must be 10,000:1
9  Poker Forums / The Rail / Can someone clear this up? on: December 26, 2005, 09:36:16 AM
A few days ago I read an article on CardPlayer.com about how poker is still growing, how cardrooms are opening/expanding, how there will be nearly 8,000 players at this year's WSOP Main Event.  Then today I goto CNN.com to check the news and see this article: "Poker's Hot Streak Fading" http://money.cnn.com/2005/12/25/news/midcaps/poker.reut/index.htm?section=money_latest

Who to believe?
