Yeah.... The music was dubbed on afterwards though, otherwise how did he get from the beach to the stage and back so quickly? He also has magical teleportation abilities. That's how good the guy is. My Uncle taught me as a child if something is in colour it is true. When we used to have a black and white telly years ago, my entire family were very pessimistic. When my Auntie returned one day with a fancy colour telly for my Uncle the whole mood of the house became better and more positive. I remember seeing the tv show Rainbow in colour for the first time and being blown away. For years I thought the character Zippy was a real guy from another country. My first day of secondary school was a tough time when I learned my Uncle had sold me a lie and the quality of the tv set didn't determine if something was truthful or not. Because this video is in colour, I believe it :-)

The Alchemist is suppose to be released as a big budget movie in 2014. Although I have heard that rumour before when Laurence Fishburne planned to release it and that never happened. The author sold the rights for the movie years ago and bought them back after he saw the planned script. Its sold 30 million copies and been translated into 67 languages.

This is a great thread. I mostly read non fiction, although these are some of my favourite fiction. I love these books and read them when I need a pick up or boost of feel good.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach . I must have read this about twenty times over the years.
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho . The greatest book ever written and my choice if I ever find myself stranded on a desert island.
The Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason . Great book and full of sound advice.
I am also a sucker for anything by Jim Rohn, Anthony Robbins and Napolean Hill. 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne is awesome as well if you manage to work your way through the advertising and sometimes religious language used.

Dogs come in handy with this problem. I just say hey lets go for a walk , the dog needs out. Everyone I know is lazy so they never want to walk and they decide to make tracks on their own without being asked. They even think in their mind they were the one to make the choice to leave. Another positive is the dog gets a walk and you get to work off the dinner you just ate.

Interesting thread. I respect wazz for having the balls to tell a large poker community like this. As far as Aaron's comments go, I see nothing wrong with his posts. He is direct and to the point, what's wrong with that?
I forget if this has been asked already, if it has just ignore this.
Say for example at some point you win a large live tournament wazz, surely as a result of this thread you would have to tell your Parents? Wouldn't they be a bit upset you chose to tell people you didn't know before them? Any student journalist could locate this thread in a matter of minutes if they had an interest in poker. Poker is about options, as a result of this thread surely you have taken away an option to tell your parents on your own terms. This thread has forced your hand.
I know you consider poker 'work' however there is a tiny percentage of people on this forum who actually play poker anywhere near the level to make a living from it and I imagine you are unlikely to meet many of the other people like myself who post on here often enough to give reason to tell us.
Regardless, I respect your choices even though I may have taken a different approach in terms of telling people. Best of luck.
Maybe I misunderstood earlier but was this thread suggesting Ben Grundy was gay? I was up late last night so I may have this wrong, its just I am sure I read an interview years ago where he discusses his girlfriend and desire for a family?

Thanks Barry, I did indeed get the Hellmuth podcast to work. Nice work again. Hellmuth always surprises me when I hear him being interviewed. I get the impression he is actually a nice guy but puts on an act for the cameras. I wonder if Mike the mouth and Tony G are the same and under the unlikable act they project they are actually nice people. I look forward to listening to the Phil Laak podcast when it is available. Cheers

I recently set up an account and so far like the site. Before setting up an online poker account I normally send a 'tester' email to customer support asking a general question relating to a banking issue. I find this gives me a good idea how efficient and reliable customer support are. DTD passed with flying colours. I received an answer a few hours later. The support staff are friendly and they answered my questions without a problem. Before deciding what ipoker room to use when I was looking to add to my SkyPoker games recently, I contacted several major ipoker sites with the same questions. DTD and William Hills were the winners in terms of customer service. Some of the others were poor and another major unnamed ipoker skin took five days to answer my email. Well done DTD.

The Hellmuth one doesn't work for me for some reason. It downloads but nothing appears anywhere on my laptop. I am going to ask a friend to download it for me today while at work. Out of all of them the Jungleman podcast hasn't tempted me to dl yet. I just get the feeling it will be the same story as all the other young online guys. Deposit $50 and a year later play $200/400. Make a million and claim to be the best poker player of all time. After I work through the others, I might go back and listen to it.

All I have heard all day is negative comments about her death while at work. Like her or not, she is still a big part of British history and should be respected. RIP

Sark Hello mate, hope all is well :-) I would buy the book as well. Neil has some great stories to tell. I remember I read a forum post a while back that mentioned a guy planning to write a book about the British poker scene. I would love to learn more about guys like John Duthie, Ben Roberts, Ram Vaswani, John Shipley, etc, etc, etc. The list could go on and on. Reading stories about 21 year olds playing $500/1000 is all very good, but I would much prefer to read a book about a guy who plays 'normal' games and makes a living playing poker within the limits of regular people. A guy who can buy a new Ferrari every day but doesn't shave yet doesn't really grab my attention. However a guy who plays 40 hrs a week in a cash game in London to pay the rent and buy food is much more interesting to me. Perhaps I am a bit strange though, lol
