I think the $500,000 buy-in has ruined the show really. Obviously only one guy at the table can afford it which kind of defeats the point of having it. With all the negotiating after the money has gone in, they only fit about 5 hands in per show. The lower buy-in with the 7-2 game was more entertaining.
I disagree i think the 7-2 game ran its course and started to become a bit of a bore imo. I think the 500k buy in while has reduced the amount of action and moves, it has been a techincally better game of poker and less artificial. Yeah I agree, its stopped the likes of Sheiky coming in for a $50k dash and then leaving, you can tell that most of them are playing for money that is a significant amount for them and its putting them under some pressure.

3. JJ hand, Gold cannot control his emotions, amazing such a successful player gives out so much information. Very nice check raise from the Jacks.
4. How pleading does Gold sound on the last hand when the money goes in? Ugh Gold is currently looking for sponsorship. He'd be a hand grenade without a pin for a sponsor IMO.
Succesful? Has he actually won anything other than the wsop last year? It was so embarrassing watching him beg Sammy to check it down. I get the feeling Sammy took it easy on him and the other pro's take it easy on him because they know how much he won from winning the main event and they know that he's dead money at the table and that slowly but surely he will do every penny he won to the pro's in the cash games. I actually thought Esfandiari has been playing like scared money since season 1, obviously an excellent player but obviously not as rich as a Brunson or Greenstein.

I think the results are self explanatory, Antonius saved $250k by running it 3 times. He had Jamie covered by it could have easily been against Laliberte and if he doesnt run it more than once he goes broke.
While we're on the subject of Gold, how annoying has he been on this series, complaining of bad cards, showing everyhand he plays, declaring the cards he had in the middle of pots, earlier in the series he had a go at Phil a few times and has been sucking up to the other players. He's been playing pretty badly also.

Serious question, did Davie Weir not take the huff with Bertie Vogts & subsequently "retire" from international football?
If so, does that make him a rat/traitor etc for putting personal feelings before the needs of his country?
aye.. i thought it was a disgrace when he got called back up... he should never have been allowed to kick a ball for scotland again Why? He had a problem with the manager which left him exposed badly in the public eye, rather than play for a Manager that he didnt want anythign to do with and risk being unable to play at his best for Scotland he quit. im sure when Smith took over he wasnt calling Walter begging to come back.
