"Obi Wan never told you what happened to your father"

"He told me enough, he said you killed him"

"No......I....am your father"

*heavy breath, dramatic music*

and lets not forget from Return of the Jedi the final scenes when the Emporer is attacking Luke and Vader grabs him and throws him down the shaft to fulfill the prophecy and bring balance to the force and the galaxy.  I dunno if its just me but everytime I watch that scene is takes longer and longer for Vader to stop the Emporer.

Caro's book is still pretty good, when you play the smaller buy in tourneys its like the book has come to life.

“What’s your biggest disappointment?”
“Alton Towers.”
“Oh, I’ve never been.”
“It’s rubbish, next.”
David Brent and Jude

..still makes me lol!

Huh? what??? what the hell is that out of, i dont get it?
Its from the Office, Ricky Gervais's character David Brent is being recruited as a business advice/motivational speaker and they ask him some questions for his website profile and that is one of the questions.

I had a sore 1 tonight although it is from the files of "all in pre flop"

Final table, blinds are 300/60 and I had managed to go from 1100 chips to 10000 in a round and I find myself in the SB with JJ.  Cincins manager Sid is UTG and raises to 1500, folded to me, i go all in Sid calls and shows AT offsuit.  Sid has 200 chips left.

1st card on the flop is a J giving me the set with a 7 4, turn is an 8, river is a 9..............

In my 2nd ever live game MikkyT did the same thing, during I rebuy I raised with KK and pushed all in on the flop with a set, he called me blind both times and hit runner runner straight Sad

just finished watching empire strike back   (again)

in my opinion

Luke  " You killed my father"

Vader   " No Luke  I'm your father"

has to be the best and maybe most shocking line in a movie period

Yes yes yes! The greatest twist in cinema history bar none.

Even the cast didn't know about it until the shoot happened. Mark Hamill was quoted as saying to George Lucas "He's lying right?" when he first read it.
I love the line too, David Prowse who was in the Darth vader suit was saying the lines at the actual filming so that Luke could react and he was given the line "Yes Luke, I killed your father" so that the cast wouldn't know.

The guy was a total (drunken) maniac, I folded Pocket 6's a few hands earlier to his £45 raise.....with 2 5 offsuit.....

I know the whole sick outcome of this, you played it fine for what he had, its just a shocking outdraw.

I think both have poker trainers but you cant actually play real money tourneys or tourneys V other people on them, its all against the computer.  PartyPoker also have software for it but do not yet offer live play.

Personally I cant beleive none of the big sites have done this yet, the amount of players that would play while travelling, on breaks at work and generally when theyre out would be frightening, it would also mean you coul go to the pub and play Smiley
2232  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Favourite quote at the poker table on: August 22, 2006, 06:15:16 PM

Mr. JJ says "Ive got Jacks, Im not folding them.  The way I see it Jacks V Kings is a 50/50"

Thats quality, I wasn't even there but I think thats my best ever quote I've been told about.

You must point this muppet out Boba so I know i'm in front when he says its 50/50

That might have been me  Grin. Everytime i outdraw someone i like to wind them up with crazy statements like that. In a tournie I had AQ v AK once and outdrew the guy. After i told the guy it was a 50-50 - either i'll hit my queen or you'll hit your king. Fairly simple logic i thought  Cool. The guy went totally off the handle callin me everything under the sun. Four hands later, I had all his chips when he called my Kings with QJo.

Wasnt you  :p

Table I was at, 1 guy goes all in with KK and gets a call from a guy with JJ.  Mr. JJ hits the case J on the river for the outdraw and is bertaed for his call by the departing player, when the player leaves, Mr. JJ says "Ive got Jacks, Im not folding them.  The way I see it Jacks V Kings is a 50/50"

*flop* "Mission impossible" *Turn* "Mission possible!!!" *River* "Mission F*cked!"
