In this case I could see why people might agree to leave the UB seat out.  Its in Copenhagen.  Its all fine swapping in a tournament that you're both at but if 1 person cashes and wins the seat, its them that has to front the expense of actually getting to Copenhagen and accomm and expenses etc while the other person gets to sweat their piece from the comfort of their own home and without any of those expenses but obv this should be mentioned beforehand

I felt like it was very predictable.

The girl was seemingly alwyas going to die. Khalessi was never in trouble and the dragon was always going to
Come to her rescue. Dragon was more hurt by the spheres than I would have imagined.

No development with Cersei. Little action with the wildings. Little action with Jamie.
I think this felt like an episode 5 rather than an episode
9.

Actually agree with all of this, though I still enjoyed the episode very much. It says something in GOT when the shocking part is that I was shocked Khaleesi, Tyrion, Jorah and the Khaleesis bloke all survived.

When she legged it on her dragon(all for one and oh fuck it, I'm off, sod you lot), the rest of them were still surrounded by baddies.
No doubt they will all be safe when we next see them even though they were still totally outnumbered.

There were plenty of Unsullied about, but they don't seem to be the fighting machines we were initially introduced to. Much like a new WWE wrestler that appears invincible to start with, somehow over time, anyone can beat them!

The crowd that surrounded them had scattered when the dragon appeared so they wont be anywhere near surrounded now.  Also a lot of them died/fled the scene, since their main reason for being there is to kill Dany, once she has gone on her dragon theyre probably gonna go back into hiding rather than stay to try to slaughter the remainder of the unsullied etc

The show is mugging off the unsullied pretty good but tbf, theyre trained for the battlefield mostly and theyre getting surprised attacks in greater numbers all over the place.  Like we havent seen any of them get killed in 1on1 combat, its mostly stabbed from behind by a 2nd, 3rd or 4th attacker.  Also Dany took all of the unsullied including the ones who's training wasnt complete, cant remember if they spoke numbers in the episode but someone told me that of the total unsullied she has, only around 20% of them are fully trained and blooded.  Obv it doesnt work out well here with this big attack but it probs makes more sense to have the lesser trained soldiers doing security at the arena where they dont expect something like that to happen and save the better trained ones for the eventual travel to westeros

probably a good idea to look at what he potential prizes are before swapping %s and coming to an agreement on stuff like that

Agree, I thought Dario played a blinder in the scene also

96  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: Ruling / Ethics situation at DTD on: June 06, 2015, 04:02:17 PM
I think cards can be retrieved from the muck in some situations - like if an action was declared and the dealer mistakenly mucks the cards - not in this situation though.

An additional problem with leaving it up to the TD to judge what the player meant is that it will favour regulars over the occasional visitor and I really don't think that's the kind of card room that DTD should aim to be.

All card rooms favour regulars over occasional visitors. Virtually unavoidable to do so, although they should work hard to stop it happening.

Agree. To be completely honest, had the guy had me beat or even had a flush draw and wanted to retrieve his hand after doing that - there's no way I would've "allowed" that ruling and I would've made a fuss and pretty sure the guys had would've been ruled dead. Quite clearly you shouldn't be allowed to throw your cards face-up over the line without saying anything to induce your opponents to turn their cards over. Every poker player on the planet would have taken his actions as a fold, and as the dealer is mucking the cards, turn their cards over.

From your OP, the other players flipped their cards before the aces were mucked by the dealer.  Im not sure if theres a specific rule at DTD, but in UKIPT or EPT for example, if you flip your hand Im 99% sure you still have all options open but you get a penalty depending on how intentional it was.  If this is the case here then yes, Carol hasnt been clear in her intention but she has reacted quickly when the dealer has tried to muck her hand to clarify.

If the other 2 players hadnt flipped their hands and Carol is asked if she is calling or folding she obviously still has both options open, so I dont see why that should change because the other 2 flipped their hand too early.

I think she should get her cards back and all options open to her.  She hasnt been totally clear about her action but the other players have jumped the gun and flipped their hands before the dealer has mucked the aces.  As soon as the dealer has tried to muck her hand she speaks up and tries to stop the action asap (or at least its how it sounds from your post).  The other players should know this and not flip their hands until the aces are mucked and I presume the dealer should be double checking that its a fold as he or she is mucking the cards.

Aces would have the chance to benefit now, itll be a lesson for the other 2 to not expose your hand while another hand may be live.

Yeah the sword is Valarian steel and there isnt many of them in the land (that we know of).  Jon is one of the few with one.

Why didnt the zombies just go into the sea and chase everyone?  Surely they can run across the sea bed and not die?

Went to Penn and Teller years ago.  If you watch the tv shows you wont see any new tricks but I was a fan and enjoyed it anyway.  If you're not short of time it worth flicking in

When checking into hotels, most of the places say a credit card is required for incidentals etc, do they actually need a credit card or is Visa Debit ok?

Also when paying resort fees, are these paid on checkin or checkout?  Cash ok or do they insist on card?

thanks

Yeah, paid on checking out with either cash or card in my experience. If you wanted to cough up the resort fee from the off, I'm sure they would take it at check in. But who wants to pay up front for that shit? Smiley

Debit card has been fine for me for the incidentals.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a potential issue with my trip. Printed off all the booking confirmations etc yesterday as we go next Friday. Flicking through it making sure all is as it should be, and I notice this paragraph on the main email from BA (its a BA package hol)....

''If the payment cardholder is travelling, you must bring the card
used to pay for this booking to the airport with you, for
verification, before you can travel''.

Now, I'm a pretty seasoned traveller and have never had to show any credit or debit card at any point in an airport, but this is my first time using BA's flight + hotel booking combo so not sure if this is the norm for them? The issue being the credit card that the bulk of my half of the payment went on expired last month and was disposed of. So the new CC details won't match.

Gonna phone BA tomorrow just for peace of mind, but can anyone shed any light on this? Seems a bit weird to need the card for verification purposes in a place where everyone is carrying a passport! Smiley

Most things do this when you book and pay by card that they wanna see the card eg. thetrainline, pizza hut etc.  I did same with a now expired card on the trainline and contacted them and they ok'd it pretty quickly.  Id contact BA and tell them about it, but cant imagine itll stop you from travelling

Same policy re if they hit the gte the 1k can be carried over?

Confirmed.

So if you already have a seat via PokerStars, assuming the guarantee is met you could use your first £1,100 ticket won via Party for 3x £330 shots at the UKIPT Cup (for example).

You can do this even if the tournament doesnt make guarantee.  The only way you would lose your seat by not playing it is it you hadnt entered the tournament at all.  If you play it because you won a seat elsewhere, you wont lose your DTD/Party ticket

Not noticeably. Size of buyin, location, prizepool affects turnout, probably in that order
