Hope it works out for you though. Gill looked at doing it the year before last, & it all looked great fun, but then she injured her back & had to quit jogging.

aw that's a shame - I actually found taking up running  helped my back problems no end, but presumably different issues.  I hope Gill has found some other form of exercise to replace it.  I don't do a lot, but would be mightily peed off if the decision *whether* or not to get off my bum was taken out of my hands

half marathon, 10k and 5k races also taking place for the less hardcore!

So, it's the Las Vegas Rock n Roll marathon on the weekend of 11/12th November.  Having not done any running for a good couple of years and having piled on about 3 stone I'm very tempted by this as an incentive to get fit again.  Have tried drumming up some interest on facebook but my enthusiasm does not seem to be contagious!

Thought I'd have a go on here and see if we can replicate the success of the Fit blondes in Berlin five years ago.

I think the Norwegian flights are on 787 Dreamliners. Very comfortable although I flew on Virgin to LA on one. Norwegian might have a different configuration.

It's interesting to note that their ticket price of £179 INCLUDEs taxes & fuel surcharge of £133.50, so the cost of a 1 way ticket ex taxes & fuel surcharge is £45.50.  This excludes checked baggage, meals & seat reservation.

Don't know if it's been mentioned on here before, but was just reading today that Norwegian aren't going to be operating any flights to Vegas over the summer due to problems with the 787s not being able to take off properly in the Vegas heat.  Apparently the issue is caused by the extra weight on board as they pack nearly 300 seats onto the planes compared with about 200 on other airlines.

I checked with the poker host at Aria and she hadn't even heard about the restrictions - they are still issuing.  Fingers crossed i'll actually need one now

Hannah is 14 now. She has her moments, but overall I'm just super proud of the kind, caring, sassy and funny young adult she is growing into

That's the Uxbridge branch of the Met line - those trains have been in service a good few years now.

Dan and Hannah both good. We've had a very difficult couple of years on a personal level but things hopefully moving on to a more even keel now,and our little family unit has become even tighter as a result - every cloud

Any recommendations for Sunday Brunch? It's been many years since I've been to Vegas and last time round did the Sterling brunch which was lovely but pricey. Have booked there again but can't help thinking that some of the champagne brunches elsewhere at half the price must be at least almost as good? Not big on seafood but champers is a must as is decent meat and egg dishes (and desserts obv!)
