the first thing you got to address is how short you are with only 12k you only have one *normal move* and given the hands you are up agaist a push-pre you are getting called by one of them its easy to say after the hand but i tend not to push with QJ type of hands in this situation because someone may gamble with you with any A, but with your chips and pos i might just play it slightly diffrently id raise to 5k total pre-flop and push 7k in regardless of the flop to give myself 2 chances to win the pre-flop raise gets rid of any stupid hands the bet on the flop and they have to have hit something to call you, you can even push 7k on the turn but this isnt so good an option because it gives them 1 more card to hit
just my 2 cents stu

i agree with the above post you didnt play the hand very well at all, i would suggest maybe dropping down a bit or playing the playmoney to get a grasp of the game and the hands value/strenths
im not haveing ago at all i had a very simlar problem to the one like you had in this hand when i first started omaha and lost alot of money in the first few months of playing it but after a lot of pratice im not that bad at it now and have made it back, mind you i did start in a £100 D/C game playing it not a great way lol

i think you pretty much have to pass this one but give yourself a mental note to take the rains of a little bit, this one you should let it go given the players history id have put him on jj/qq due to the way you say he acted but i dont want to be calling all my chips at this stage in the comp, we still have enough to do some damage, i think you need to change gears a little though with the blinds going up start the taxing and if you get called so be it but at least you go with a bang

i got to pass here also but i dont put him on qq like the other posts i doubt he would play qq in that way with fd/sd's on there id have to figure him for some kind of fd with a strait draw of kinds, maybe 109/k10 maybe even 89 or simlar he is betting the pot and i suppose you could take a shot here but there isnt really any point in it, 1 hand he could have is maybe 77 the bet on the flop is small enough for him to peak at 1 card if he thinks he will get well paid if he hits it

pre-flop with ak im raiseing personally on the bubble enough to set the shortys in, an overbet sure but then they dont have the niggling in the back of there mind if i re-raise he might pass, on your stack issue you got 18k blinds 400-800 if you dont play you will go into the final with around 12-13k which is no good you got to take advantage and bulid your chips here not sit back and waite you should realise that shortstacks dont want to go out if you keep putting the pressure on them they will have to call eventualy and hope you have live cards here if not you should of made enough to cover the loss anyway
as for the hand itself the only reason you should limp on the bubble with ak is to set yourself in after a raise if your going to play it slow then just pass it if you really dont want to commit dont limp at all, but when you limp you must be thinking of takeing someone on with the hand so when you get a raise you have to re-raise the way you played it calling the raise you can only pass on the flop and now you are a short getting shorter and shorter every round and they come round fast 6 handed
but dont take it for granted he had jj most likely he is putting the pressure on
