Regarding point 4

Poker players like to dress casual. Thats one of the benefits of being a poker player. Asking us to wear trousers, shoes and a shirt seems too much like going to work!

Probably no shorts/tracksuits/sleeveless t-shirts and white trainers is what i would go for!

Just my opinion :-)

Well spotted Dewi.  Hi to all Ben's supporters and friends.  I would be grateful for an update about Ben's current position.  (I am not the MBK !)

The key to this hand is that he only made up the SB... so was probably hoping that Max would make some kind of move if he had been playing very aggressively.

Conventional play with A9 from the SB would be to raise the BB. So when Max moved all in after dave showed "weakness" by limping, it would be very tempting to call.

I would actually bet $20-$26 on the turn. That way you are still tempting in the hands that you have strangled like lower set, two pair and smaller flush draws. if you bet full pot some hands you may want to call will pass. If you get reraised its an easy call i think.

I just don't see check folding as an option here even if one of them bets full pot and the other one folds. Even on the turn you have approximately 35-40% chance of catching up, so you are priced in to the call.

Highstack - I got about 1/3 back from him then he disappeared..

Ariston - Sometimes i just have to pay people off in these situations and good luck to them if they have me beat. Its like when you suspect someone has hit set over set on me in Hold'em.

If you calculate that there is $14800 in the middle already.... adding on his $9300 all in bet that makes it $24100. For me to call is $9300. 24100/9300 is roughly 2.6

I think that price is good enough for me to call in this situation. If he can bet the pot of $14800 on the river i may fold.... thats assuming that i am not an Omaha calling station which i am.

Yeh i had to call but was kind of expecting to be shown quads.....

He had Two Diamonds yuck

There was enough chance he had 38xx 3Kxx or even was making a play to try and make me pass....

and as royal Flush said he is gonna go skint if he plays hands like that! lol

What is your move here?

$10/$20 on Betfair. I am playing a $29000 stack.

I was dealt  on a six handed table in middle position and made it $60 to play. Everyone called to the SB who made it $200. All six players decide to see the flop.

Flop  three clubs three diamonds. Bingo. SB who made the original reraise preflop bets $600. Second position calls (playing a $16000 stack).

I think that the guy who bets out has AA or KK. He could also have a 3. The caller has almost defintely got a 3. I make it $2000 to play hoping that at least one of them plays on. The original raiser passes and the other player calls.

Turn  Two Clubs There is $5800 in the middle. He checks. I don't want to make a milking bet as it makes my hand look to strong so i bet $4500. He calls.

River  . Now he bets $9300 all in!!! Does anyone pass here?

Not too much information on the player. Only the second time i had played against him.

Felt it too likely had had  or any type of busted flush draw to fold

I'm out!!!

So sick

Guy to my my left has been reraising me every time i raise.....

Playing 130k stack him a little more. Next time i raise it up to 5000 to play with   ... he plays with his chips and counts out 20000 to do it again. Instead he just calls. Flop . I bet 14000. He calls.... turn  Two Clubs ... i bet 30000 .. he calls. River  two spades. I check he moves all in. I wanted him to make a move as i felt i was ahead... but all in!!

What to do now? He has already bluffed massively a few times and got lucky! Well i called and he had   . Anyone else and i could have passed!

hehe i finished with 108000 ish and Rob around the 80000 mark. Off to go for a drink with him now

i played so bad (in that every move i tried was wrong) for 5 hours that i am lucky to still be alive thanks to the huge starting chips. My play picked up for the last couple of hours!

Getting excited about the main event tomorrow. Latest estimates are around 600 players which will make it a $15 million prize pool....

Its totally different from most tournaments because of the massive 50000 starting chips. I have decided my tournament strategy .... just hope the poker gods will be smiling at me. There are around 30-40 Brits playing it i think... so there is a good chance at least one will go deep!

The one thing i have noticed so far is players keep trying to bluff me. Its probably because i look young they think i will be too scared to play back at them... hopefully it will continue tomorrow.
