For me it has to be Freezeout.  But it has to be at a level where you are going to have some decent prize money.  I don't think a £20 freezeout is worthwhile with 20 players.

But if you have a £30 freezeout with say 30 - 50 players then its a good comp.

I think the key is getting the balance.  If its a re-buy event I think the best way to do it is limit to one re-buy and or and optional add on.

When I am goiing to play, I like too know what my worse case scenario is.  Its easy to say I'm playing a re-buy event and I am only going to buy in X ammount of times, but if you happen to be at a table with a fruit n' nut and you bust out 2/3 times when you have played the best poker and made the correct moved but outdrawn it becomes more difficult IMO to walk away.  Well for me it does anyway, I have a personality that makes me more determined to win - or is that going on tilt and becoming rash and its too the detriment of my game.

If I am playing a £100 - £300 freezeout, I expect the players to be of a better quality I expect the poker to be of a better quality and I think many of the idiots feel excluded from this sort of game.

I'm tired, I'm up for work in a few hrs and I am starting to rant!

Your not ranting .....I think you should expect a higher quality of player at  £1-300. I hope thats the case and if we can get 4-500 players for this event the prize money will be over £100,000 so it will be a event worth winning ....Freezeout it is then

i would win 2 seats into the main event on pokerstars then use the $W10000 to play all 6 events!!

(that is to be my plan for this year anyway Smiley)

Sounds like a good plan but if you dont want to play on stars ( I know Matt its hard to comprehend not wanting to play on stars  Cheesy ) I wonder if any other network will try a different kind of offer.

i cant believe so many of you enjoy watching that poker night live!! Watching internet poker has to be one of the most boring things imaginable (trust me i did it for 4 months solid whilst trying to figure out how to crack pokerstars) so watching two blokes watching internet poker has me on the edge of my seat for all of 30 seconds before i'm reaching for the remote to watch the endless reruns of porridge or only fools and horses on UK gold!!

maybe its just me but unless its a well put together program i find i cant watch poker when its been shown on tv - i prefer to be playing rather than watching.

I agree mind numbinglly boring TV. If the where more poker programmes like "beyond the felt" which at least is watchable then maybe they would get more viewers.Poker shows in TV are generally dire though I think the format for the WSOP coverage is watchable and well presented.

I won my seat last year on stars and lasted a whole 8 hours  Cheesy  but I was happy with the way I played. The thing is I played several other tournies and would have preferred to have won a on line package into these. Fortunatly I did real well in the cash and sit and go games that paid for this.

I would prefer to enter a on line tourney where the prize was the entry to 3 $1000 and a omaha and a stud or something like that combo. If the prize was a week of tournies intead of the enty into the main event I think this is a better deal the site still gets the benafit of you being there and you have a better chance.   what would you prefer???
