My two cents.

Grosvenor just don’t give a shit about poker. They are in it for the short term looking to take as much as possible then ride off into the sunset. They also have an archaic senior management who don’t listen are stuck in the past do not want to innovate.

My local casino is a Grosvenor and playing less and less and I’m glad others are voting with their feet. Whoever came up with this voucher system should be sacked on the spot.
Smacks of head office accountant idea

I largely agree with your sentiment but I don't see the relevance of PKR closing to the overall case.
Loved by casual players.

iPoker has been run terribly for years and its disgusting the level of botting and overall scumbaggery that they have let take place on the network. Should have died a death a long time ago and should have never been granted a UK licence.
Got to be careful what I say here, but dont disagree. Great people running the network as those who know, know. Sadly it'll always be Playtech, who back in the day were the worst casino operator. They've always had incredible marketing, and that went towards their recruiting of all those UK bookmakers too.

Is online poker all but done? The once supremely popular PKR collapsed last month, now WSOP.com closing doors (in  UK at least?), iPoker network now a small affair compared to its heyday.

Is it going to be just Stars, Party and a handful of far east sites remaining soon?

Anyone playing this? The tournament was running for about 30 mins. They then stopped the tournament completely for 'technical reasons'. It is now open again and it starting at 8pm. It auto-regged me in the new tournament using money in my account, even though I won a sat - what a farce.
Good god almighty, hadn't seen that.

Still, another hour for ipoker to cover the overlay with late entrants eh?

Unless Aberdeen allow/can afford a real cleanout of players what manager will make a difference? There's been a few capable managers there but they've seemed to been undone by squads who show that they can play, but don't seem to want to often.

I tend to think they'd have been better keeping Calderwood & Nicholl & funding them, even if the funding was to be a gamble.

I agree with this completely. I still find it hard to believe they got shot of Jimmy Tango.

Couldnt go wrong with hiring Calderwood again.

How on earth, after the shambles that was the tactical tombola spinning buffoon, can anyone say we made a mistake inb binning him or should take him back?  He was clueless, and we'd still be ignorant on the talents of young Fyvie if he was still in charge.

let's not forget how insulting he was to the fans as well, in total contrast to how Craigy Broon has started. "Two cars in every drive", "all too soft up here", "unrealistic expectations" etc.  Broon though - "this city deserves and needs a successful club" and "this club has been struggling for far too long".

The guy has started on the right track, yes he's not in any way an exciting or motivational appointment, that would have been the other Broon, but for where we are he's as good as we could have got, and a million miles better than Blunderwood.

On a final Tango note, it's nice to see he's much more concilliatory and complimentary about Aberdeen and the city now that he realises not only that he lost the best job he ever had and will have, but his performances here have probably cost him any chance of a decent job in football ever again.

Some of what he said may have hurt, but doesn't sound too far out to be fair. Also remember you are arguing the toss over posts made well before Brown was appointed & made more looking at the shambles that Aberdeen seem to be making of endless 'new manager, no money, same squad - repeat'. The point that actually changing the squad of regular underachievers who ocaissionally show a bit of football migt be the best idea instead of spending the money on new guys trying to make silk purses with the same sows ears.
Well right enough, most houses have two cars in the driveway  Wink, but then that's standard everywhere nowadays eh.

All too soft? Well as he's speaking about an area that has a large contingent of farmers, fishermen & offshore workers, think he might be off the mark there.

Unrealistic expectations? Well there have been fifteen clubs make a final since we last did, I don't think it's unrealistic that we should be doing a bit better than that, or going fifteen years without a trophy.

So no, like most of what Tango said, it was usually nonsense.

lol, doubt schalke are going to be too bothered by the visiting fans paying and then not turning up

they should maybe have thought of doing this before buying tickets
Makes more of a statement, and shows principles if they will pay, but still refuse to go.

Such a shame that they fell victim to a team that got EXTRA injury time to help them get a win.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 minutes added, then we had subs, then the injury delay for the assualt on Hutton, even more time wasting from the hacking cheats, and two minutes is perfectly justified.

LOL, the commentator on Radio Scotland is almost begging Scotland to score.
Richard Gordon, brilliant wasn't he?  "ten minutes to go, come on Scotland"  He was just like any other Scotsman, desperatly trying to wish a goal out of nothing.

Fair play to ya, I hope you lot survive, will piss off all the haters, and Charlie Adam is in my dream team so go go go....

who's the haters, i wouldn't of thought there was a football fan in the country that don't want to see blackpool do well

Believe it or not there was some trouble when fans returned to Blackpool North station. By all accounts a group of Bolton fans (god knows their gang/knick name) from Horwich (of all places) were waiting there. It appears that this group of idiots pick a team at random each week and descend on their area - whether they are playing them or not....

I smell bullshit. This just an attempt to stir up decades old ill feeling?

Oh, and we are still top of the league
