Not one mod has wanted to see the thread locked for long, or removed

MC made an error of judgement, and he has apologised to you. I expected you'd react to the comment at the time, and took that into account when removing the post and not doing anything else. I really don't want to ban anyone, unless left with no other option

For what it's worth every single time in my life I have driven past a car with a personalised number plate I have thought "tosser" or something similar.

It is a dire waste of money and almost obscene to flaunt wealth in this way when there is so much poverty in the UK/the world.

I think you could say that about many things in life, where does that flaunting start and end though? The medium size car instead of the big car? The 3 bed semi instead of the 5 bed detached? I want to get a 50 inch plasma when I move to a bigger place, I don't need it but I want it. I really waste money on shit I want to do, but why not I've earned it?

People have different values on what stuff is necessary/worth while in life and they will never agree on what is/isn't, its just a pointless argument and wrong for others to say what is isn't.

Its normally but not always down to jealously in my experience.

It's funny I don't think the same about an expensive car.

Having a nice car adds something to your life, the extra comfort, speed, safety etc are reasons I don't begrudge rich people having nice cars.

Hell, if I ever win a big poker tournament, I would trade up to a nicer car.

Having a personalised number plate is like putting two fingers up to the rest of the world. Saying I've got so much money I can waste on it something like this, while other road users have to use what the are given.

Last night I wrote out a post for the sofa thread pressed submit and the thread was locked. Bear in mind my posts can take some writing. Next I wrote out a post for another thread pressed submit and that was locked too. Then just a regular post of mine was deleted because somebody else used bad language. That's what I've got a chip on my shoulder about Richard. My experience of Blonde is hampered by these people causing threads to be locked and getting regular normal posts to be censored. Why not just ban these people?  BTW the reason you hadn't opened the other thread was because I didn't react to the blatant trolling.

It grieves me terribly to see two friends of mine falling out, it must be how a Dad feels when his kids have a barney.

I've known & 100% trusted both Camel & Sofa since long before blonde was ever thought of, & I trust them equally. Neither would ever do me wrong, & I'd snap-loan both of them money without a 2nd thought if the need arose.

Sofa is the original loveable rogue. I cannot imagine a soul on earth who would not adore him if they met him just once, he's the funniest, sharpest, wittiest guy (& crap poker player) you could ever wish to meet. If I were in a bit of trouble, & needed a good friend I could trust to help me through, those two would be on a very short list. If Sofa &, say, a Table comic like Evil ever share a poker Table, go watch & listen, you'll never have more fun.

He's offered to sell me car plates several times. He said he'd do it at cost, & he would. It would not bother me if he turned a profit on the deal, that's how business works,  but he would insist on doing it at cost.

I hope it all cools down, it's just the written word coming across wrong. If Camel & James ever meet, they'll soon become big muckers. That's nailed on.
