Poker Forums / The Rail / Cash game training buddies wanted in Glasgow

Hi Guys,
It's been a long time since I lurked around on this forum. Apologies for my absence.
Anyway, I have got thoroughly into playing cash and would love to create, or join, a wee team of cash game players to discuss hands, strategy etc. on a semi-regular basis. Anyone from Glasgow or the surrounding area keen on this?
I am playing 200NL at a win rate of about 4bb/100 hands over a sample size of 140k hands.
Cheers,
Swordpoker

My folks used to have a restaurant. We never had a service charge but many restaurant owner friends did.
Service charge is not the same as tipping! I wish restaurants were more transparent about this. The restaurant owners can legally keep the money. When this is done it is often justified by saying it covers breakages or goes towards staff wages. Same goes for leaving a tip on a debit/credit card. Leaving cash is the most likely way for the staff to get it.

My sister has it. At first she was devastated, mainly thinking negatively about how everyone would look at her. But now, she treats it as a feature rather than a problem. She has come to terms with it and is perfectly happy.

Santander's service is atrocious. I moved away from them to Nationwide because of it. They are also really bad for hard selling every time you visit the branch - every time I went in to bank a cheque they would try to sell me a mortgage, never having a clue that my mortgage was already with them. Expect long queues at their branches.
If you are only banking online then it might be worth it for the interest rate.

I tried to eat horse once....
Was in a restaurant in France looking at the menu. I understand a bit of French so was doing my best to figure out the options. One item had 'cheval' in it. I don't have any ethical issues about eating horse and I was curious, so I ordered it. My food arrived and it was clearly a ham and egg toastie with a fried egg on top. I asked where the horse was and the waiter pissed himself laughing. When he calmed down he explained to me that the egg was having a 'horsie-back' on the ham and egg toastie.

I've given lifts to a few hitch hikers. There is a stretch of road between Perth and Blairgowrie where loads of foreign students come for the summer to pick berries. They get paid very little and live in a campsite in the middle of nowhere so most of the locals give them lifts all time. It's good etiquette to give lifts there.
Most interesting hitch hiker I ever gave a lift to was a French guy in a wheel chair. He was hitch hiking all over Europe for 6 months on his own. I was totally impressed.
