I admire the guy's skill.

He wasn't talking to her, he was talking to us.

Teachers are being trained, by an anti bullying charity, to 'not interfere' when one child beats up another one. They are to wait until the incident is over and then deal with it. This is to protect against law suits.

Why do people need to be warned to be careful on a slippy surface?

This mentality is why the country is in the mess it's in. Someone successfully sued our local authority after climbing a fence and falling into a pond on a wildlife reserve.

His argument? "The fence wasn't high enough to prevent me climbing over"

Sooooooo many skeptics on this thread, I can't believe it!

I mean, it's not like you can actually disprove that there are no real psychics and mediums out there?

I can.

God told me they were all fakes.

Must be true, God said so.

Cheesy

Completely nuts. Even if we accept the diagnosis, phobias can be cured within about 10 minutes these days so they don't need to be a problem.

Phobia's can be cured within ten minutes really?

Yup, it's one of the cool things you can do with NLP techniques. The more severe the phobia the easier it is to cure usually. Here's Paul McKenna curing needle phobia:

Can't wait for the next MOWO awards.
If a race has been sidelined and mistreated are they right to spend a few decades redressing the balance by having awards and festivals which exclude people not of their race?
Not that 'black' is quite a 'race', but anyway...

Nah, not if the goal is equality. I don't think you can have true equality if you keep score. You'll end up with an 'us and them' mindset. Nothing wrong with celebrating culture, I'm all for that: I quite like the occasional highland games. I only go as a spectator but you don't have to be Scottish if you want to enter the events.

I'm not keen on a 'black only' beauty competition because it smarts of segregation. There would be outrage at a 'white only' beauty competition. I'm sure there is no harm meant in running this event but there must be an undercurrent of different rules for different colours. That's why I won't be supporting it either.

I started crying at 35K (out of 42K). Physically it got really hard but mentally I realised how close I was so there was no way I could fail. I was to feel pure euphoria all the way to the finish.

It's amazing to me that 3 months previously running 7K would have been a big challenge. But here, having just run 35K and with no energy left, running 7K was completely inevitable. There is no way in the world I wasn't finishing.

This was really early on. We were about 3K in. I'm wearing a belt filled to the brim with glucose. A cheeky Italian tried to pick pocket some but I managed to outrun him.

Used to hate them with a passion but now I really like them. Had wild mushroom soup for breakfast today...yum.

Did it!

4 hours 45 minutes and I kept my promise to myself to run the whole way. Photographic evidence to follow. A huge thank you to those who sponsored me and those who have supported me. Thank you also for your good luck wishes. Special thanks to those who thought I wouldn't managed it but encouraged me anyway.

My donation page will be up for a few days yet. Please consider contributing: Childline really needs your help:
