Couple of mates play on a Mac and would like to know if DTD is gonna be available for their OS. Apparently some iPoker skins run a browser client for Mac use. Thanks
I think the answer to this is going to be no (at least for the time being). I've been chasing this for a while. Definitely won't launch with a browser option

Worth noting that although the purported idea behind the network "split" was to protect the recreational players in Tier 1, unsurprisingly enough of the stronger players have just moved across meaning that in recent months Tier 2 has actually been shown (by the network) to be "fishier"

Incidentally I think that would work much better than digging up sports stars from the grave who just sit there check folding. Get people who can play and want to play. Maybe they can keep their profits like that other poker show (but don't do it like that other poker show which is horrible).
A "win your seat to the next series" promotion on the online site would be nice I agree, probably would have needed to plug it on air whilst this series is running though so maybe too late for that But that misses the point, Karl - the Series was not commissioned to squeeze MPU from the existing player-base, that is already done in many other ways, including, & uniquely for a UK facing poker site, a 24/7 dedicated TV Channel. This was specifically aimed at attracting new players, & was most definitely not aimed at the existing player-base. You have to do one or the other, mixing & matching dilutes the strength of the message. Badly worded maybe, I was meaning as an extra incentive for (new) viewers to check out the online site for a chance to appear on the next series

Due to villians unpredictable nature I imagine with more marginal hands Karl will just play him post flop and keeps pots under control
Was pretty much the plan The Q8 was from the day before (although the guy on this table was similar). Was just using as an example of the play of some people in the field, sorry to confuse.

Thanks Guy for linking me here
This was my re-entry. On day 1a I busted at 150/300 when 1 player opened 600, 2 callers and I squeezed to 4,000 (must be my fave number) and the big blind over called with Q8cc and busted me on 9 high 2 club flop
Villain 3 here was one of the weakest players you could wish for and was calling most bets (for some reason especially mine). He was the main reason to squeeze so big here (as is proved when he cold calls). Also Andrew has played quite solidly and is likely to have a decent hand here. The more my play looks like a squeeze the harder he will find it to fold. If Villian 3 calls in between us and adds 4k to the pot even better
Nice to put a face to your alias on here Andrew, hope to see you at the next one

yeh i dont understand betfair completely uprooting from ongame, just keeping up both options would be best.
Not from the business perspective. It means they have to pay TWO lots of Network Charges for roughly the same amount of traffic, so their gross margin gets severely diluted. That makes no business sense whatsoever, imo. We should not forget why they run a poker room - to earn margin, & feed liquidity to the other platforms on their own Site via cross-sell. Not sure I understand that - network charges are a % of rake usually, no?
