I agree with the original poster. As an animal lover, I find that story deeply upsetting Sad

Jeezus. How can someone just forget about the dog? That incompetence, whether malicious or not, has caused an animal extreme pain and suffering. Pretty inexcusable I think, and should result in a jail sentence.

Only messing i wont be there, festival on in brighton! Should drag yourself down here.
Pah. I am far too easy to bluff!... Too much work on at the moment to play festivals unfortunately Sad My next one is the next leg of the UKGPT (only 1 festie a month this year, though I might have another craic at the Irish Open)...

Maybe we can play Earls Court Roll?  Wink

OK i am there! Never pass up a chance to play Roll with Matt, valooooooo
Would be cool to see you down there. I'll make sure I bring a roll, and some cards Smiley PM me your phone number, and I'll give you a call on Wednesday afternoon.
725  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: ATEi / ICE Earls court on: January 22, 2007, 04:53:15 PM
details? might do

It's held by Lyceum Media. It's a party for exhibitors and attendees of ICE/ICEi. Max capacity 1000. Last year the capacity was lower - held at a smaller venue, and it was impossible to move around. Still, it was good fun.

I don't have any more details yet. I usually pick 'em up on the day from the Lyceum stand.
726  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: ATEi / ICE Earls court on: January 22, 2007, 04:48:42 PM
A few of us from the gambling.co.uk network will be heading down - myself, my two business partners, and affiliate manager will there on Wednesday for the day. We don't have a stand - we're mainly going for the networking opportunities and to have a few meetings (it's always handy when everyone is in the same place at the same time).

I always like the Fire and Ice party held on the Wednesday night. Anyone else planning on going to that? Last year was a good craic Smiley

Des, I'll see you at the show Smiley

p.s. I'll mainly be in the ICEi part of the show, that's the part dealing with internet gambling, etc.
727  Poker Forums / The Rail / Re: I'll deliberately tune in to watch....Jade? on: January 20, 2007, 07:32:34 PM
So what do you think of Jade and her two buddies?

Personally i agree with this quote taken from the the Sun editorial today -

""She has left the house with her true personality laid bare - a vile, pig-ignorant, racist bully consumed by envy of a woman of superior intelligence, beauty and class."

"

Couldn't agree more, and it's not often I can say that about something that was in the Sun!

Unlucky Tikay.

How depressing to hear that Jade got a whopping 21% of people voting to keep her in the house.  Were these people voting to keep her in as they wanted to see a bloodbath, or do they genuinely support her behaviour?

Who knows? Either way it's a pretty shocking figure that doesn't reflect well on the UK. I was anticpating (hoping) at least 95%/5% in favour of Jade getting evicted.

It's pretty hard to meet eligible ladies in the poker scene, so I think this sounds like a good idea, and a good laugh Smiley

£35 for a dating expert? Bargain!!

Though, having said that, I've been trying to persaude a certain poker magazine that I'd cover this event for them if they pay my expenses (incl. beer!) Wink At least that way I'll have an excuse to be there if I'm spotted!..

Apparantly, Dan Carter has cashed three time at Walsall festivals now, and each time he has come 8th on all of them.

Does an 888.com sponsorship deal beckon?
Dans played 4 events this week and finaled twice, a very good young player.
Hes sponsored by Matt Dale I believe. poker.co.uk
Yes, this is true.

Well done Dan. Excellent result again - very unlucky with the AK vs AQ Sad

Dan played in 4 of the tourneys this festival (£200, £300, £500 and £1000) and final tabled in two of them. Fantastic work Smiley Unlucky not to win I think.

Here's to the next festival Smiley

Good luck to those still playing (except Woodley Wink). Shame I had to dash off early.

I originally registered, then unregistered via PM due to this event conflicting with a mate's birthday wish to visit a local cider festival lol. The festival has now been postponed until October, so if there are still spaces please can I be reinstated - playing all MTTs if possible Smiley

Thanks
Matt
